Yep, I’m back. Can literally not get enough of this. This band should have been huge. Really love the way it was recorded also - the sound of those guitars is awesome.
If you are not aware of the bands timeline after this, they changed their name to Roadstar and released two albums. They then transitioned into the band Heaven's Basement, but singer Richie & guitarist Johnny, left after the first EP, but the band carried on with new members. After Heaven's Basement called it a day, guitarist Sid Glover & bassist Rob went on to form The Cruel Knives, and around the same time Richie made his musical comeback with new band The Fragile Things.

I remember the first time I heard this song, it was at Download, they were on a stage that was under a huge tent. We were just looking for somewhere to chill out until the next band we wanted to watch, then these guys came on stage and blew us away. Totally awesome band, loved them to bits. Wish they were still playing together

Hi, the setting for this video is Kimbolton Castle in the village of Kimbolton near Cambridge. It is , and has been for a hundred or so years, a public school. I was a pupil there between 1970 and 1979. The room they played in is called The Saloon. Cathreen Of Aragon [Henry The Eighth,s first wife] lived there for a time. I would be interested if any of that band had any connection with the school. Any good song and video.

It was a weird situation as he wrote all the songs and told them what to do .and wouldnt let the band do anytbing effectivly. This band went on to form their own band called heavens basement, from 2008 to 2010. The line up then changed and wasnt the same vibe. Richie was in a band recently cLled fragile things. Johnny has a recording studio in mancheater called red city recording. Sid went onto form a band called the cruel knives
@@andyg3 Thank you for that. I have been following the links of the different bands you mentioned on UA-cam. I'm not a rock band fan myself (except"Tool") but I like the vocals, the cord changrs, the rhythm and the energy of the songs. It's interesting to hear how Roadstar was managed. Timothy.
manager wrote all the songs and wouldnt let them write anything, as well as being very controlling. they were an amazing group of musicians and went onto form their own band heavens basement, which also did very well. so you can understand it must have been frustrating for them.
I loved Hurricane Party and Roadstar, and initially liked Heavens Basement, but when Richie was replaced by Aaron I just could not get on with the change in musical style. New band The Cruel Knives with Sid and Rob is a bit different, but what I have heard so far sounds better than latter day Heavens Basement.
Saw them live when this came out at the Sugarmill, Hanley in Stoke on Trent, ua-cam.com/video/f0YTo0Wusw4/v-deo.html. They were great live. I thought they could have been my new fave band at the time, then they disappeared. What a good album Grand Hotel was tho

Yeah they really should've stuck to they're guns with this to many lineup/ name changes.
