Me and my mate used to follow the original Heavens Basement around their gigs, saw them a few places, Brighton, East London etc. What a band the originals were. Loved the Roadstar albums. I'm pretty sure I have a 15min or so Terminal Sessions video? I could be wrong, but I'm sure I have more than two performances in this setting. Either way, these guys are on top form here. A real force to be messed with

We've just done an interview with vocalist Richie Hevenz , lots of interesting stories from the hurricane party days right through to heavens basement, full of highs and lows , great guy to speak with

Where can we hear this? Big fan of this era of the band saw HP, RS and HB quite a few times they were on fire.

Love these guys! I’ve followed their evolution from hurricane party, to roadstar, to heavens basement, and into other projects. I think drummer and bass player are in Cruel knives and Richie is in misery’s smile. Al killer rock!!!!

      +Hernan Gonzales
personally prefer Richie, much more unique voice, and johnnys backing vocals gelled very well with richie.
never really found robs to go that well with aarons,
      aaron was great tho!

    • @hernangonzales9602
      @hernangonzales9602 8 років тому +3

+brokenrope is it Rob that goes with Aaron all the time? it's Sid I think, I don't find Richie's voice unique, it's the other way, it's the same old rock-hard rock kind of voice, there I find Aaron's much more uniqueI but I have to agree with you with the duet on Richie and Johnny, amazing!! the duet with Aaron and Rob/Sid it's too thin! sounds like two girls soem times, dont like it

Whoever wants to read this: I have a funny story with Sid Glover lol
I met him at my favorite rock bar in my city (Zaragoza, Spain) back in 2009.
I was with a friend comforting her cause she broke up with her boyfriend.
It was the year of the Metalway in Zaragoza.
Then comes Sid Glover (a stranger to me) towards us with his British accent like: "Hey gals! Have u goh any cigarrets?"
I answered in English: "Uhm nope...We dont smoke, sorry, mate."
He was shocked cause I answered in perfect English.
"U mind if I sit down?"
He sat down and we talked for a while like we knew each other forever. He even tried to cheer up my friend.
I asked him: "So ....what are you doing in here? Lol"
    And he said: "Metalway!"
I was like: "You lucky bastard! You got tickets!"
He laughed and answered: "I am not going to Metalway, I am playing in Metalway!"
I immediately laughed and thought he was fucking around.
I was like: "Yeah right! Really? What's the name of your band then?
    Sid: "Heaven's Basement."
I had no idea who they were at all.
He wanted me to tour with him, show him the city and just spend time with him but since I thought he was fucking around I told him I wanted to get a taxi and go home lol.
We hugged and cuddled for a while and finally my friend and I went home.
    The next day:
I opened UA-cam, typed "Heaven's Basement" and found this video.
    I was like: "😧😲 Shiiieeet...he wasn't lying...lol"
Added him on Facebook. He remembered me well.
We talked for a while on Facebook for a short time but that was it.
    We kinda developed separate paths.
Him with his music and me with my shows (I am a voice actress)
I keep these memories in my heart.
He is a great guy ❤
    The End lol
