I have a special needs adult son, i can relate, i have an old Toyota 4×4 truck with a utlity topper converted into a sleeping quarters- the desert is the best medicine for my son! He is so relaxed camping & taking walks in the desert! Nice build!

Great build and vid . I have a twin cab Mitsubishi l200 which I have a box on the back as in winter I use it for transporting my hunting birds of prey and working dogs but the summer time they moult so not flying and now I’m thinking of making a camper for the back of it I can remove . This vids giving me mad plans already .

Ive followed along on your channel for years now!! And knowing you there will be 7.0 by November hahaha!! Just kidding, pretty amazing how you perfected your perfect setup!! I also built my own camper but only used it once since completing it.. Might just lose the house and live in my camper for a year to see if i like it or need to rebuild it.. Great videos thanks for sharing :)

Best Video I've seen about this sort of thing. I've been considering stepping out into the unknown to make something like this. I have an old 1993 Dodge D250 1st gen Cummins truck with a long bed. I'm put so much money into it and I'm not sure I ever want it let it go. I'm hoping to retire in the next few years, assuming we are not in WWIII by then. This would be perfect.

I would love to learn how to build one someday especially one with that much detail and craftsmanship. I'm hoping to have enough money within a month or so to get a decent truck.

Looks good I like the cedar. Very rustic cabin feel to it. I think that would have stretched it out to the end of the lowered tailgate and installed some tail lights on the back of the camper. When you decide to take the camper off of your truck how do you remove and install on and off of your truck bed?
When I had a camper I found I would just sleep in the lower section and use the upper bed area for storage.

I concur! Love your 6.0! But I like the previous one a bit more. You do a phenomenal job on everything! The only change for me is more open floor space and built-in stove. We don't need access where I live, so that's a big energy savings, but then again, I have not considered electric heat. I have a Ford f150 Powerboost with a pathetic payload of 1360 pounds, so the weight of the camper and pacs and gear is challenging

Like cedar for many reasons, including it’s waterproof qualities. I liked the wood window blind. It’s very stylish, but wondered what you did with it when removed as shown? I can see potential for it to be used as an outside table, either clipping it to a side of the camper, or standalone, instead of it just being stored and doing nothing
Great idea! For now, they just come off and do nothing. Maybe I will incorporate that idea in a later build.

I would buy that or even try and build it . What was the cost of materials and equipment to make it ? I am thinking of making a portable mini cabin for camping . Built in manageable sections that you would just need a couple tools and a 18v drill to assemble .
