Take Tesla fired workers to GM 😂
GM SYSTEM WILL NEVER LET THEM THRIVE
😂😂😂😂😂 They'll close once they see no one will buy their $150,000 electric car.
They also sell a $34,000 Electric car
@@OneManOnFire Yeah a weird one! Which no one wants. Until these cars get to a travel range of 1,500-2,000 miles no one will want them.💯👍
@@smoothoperator1083 Yeah sure buddy for a average commute electric works for most people. It's a free market let them buy what works for them.
@@OneManOnFire Exactly my point. Why is it being pushed down our lives?
Are you the one for voting for mandates?
@@smoothoperator1083 it's a free market if you don't like it don't buy it. No one is forcing you.
I'd much rather have less tech in my car.
Amen
bye ! boomer
Without tech and finance industries, the US is a third-world country. Both heavily rely on tech.
@jasonlucas2328 Cool, but I still want less in my car.
Edit: Both of those sectors are generating lots of profits, but at what costs?
Tech without consequence doesn't really exist. The consequences are usually multiplied by the financial sector. Not unlike the pharmaceutical industry.
Amen to that, hence why I still have my Detroit Built 2001 GMC Sonoma, and the only tech in it is the OnBoard Computer and Car Audio.
Software is critically important in an EV. GM should have done this well in advance of their EV offerings. Software issues have stranded so many Lyriq owners due to dead 12-volt batteries. It's a shame
Silicon valley employees can benefit all their products, not just EVs
Too much tech in cars makes them immensely unreliable
Un sold Tesla's are being stock piled in a dirt lot and empty business lots in Santa Clara near the Levi stadium.
Tech companies, and other types as well, are leaving California due to the high cost of doing business. This seems like a backwards move by GM.
GM needs to re-hire all laid off employee from Tesla supercharging division to leapfrog and lead supercharging technology and innovation.
not Texas LOL
Data collections. And a schmoozing
No, not about all going electric..i will drive my 2004 Buick Lesabre till it rots. I will even get the engine rebuilt.
Same
that junk is poison
Dont buy electric trucks to haul. Neighbor got one. Pulled his boat and gear up to a lake in the mountains. Long story short. Ran out of juice to make it back. Stranded overnight. He got a ride to an area for his cell to work. Towed back.
It’s called poor planning and people run out of gas all the time genius
Who tows a car when it runs out of gas? There’s a much steeper consequence for running out of energy with an EV. Not to mention these vehicles are notoriously unreliable at predicting how far a charged battery will go. Totally feasible that towing would diminish range faster than a person plans for.
@@NotApplicable-um9re Tesla’s AI calculates your charge points when you make a trip so it eliminates human error
@DxModel219 Seems it don't calculate well when in the Sierra Mountains, pulling a trailer. Lake he went to was 90 miles from town. No charging stations in between.
We ned them in oakland and downtown san francisco
Where do people think electricity comes from....aghhh🙄
BYD school buses?? how is that possible?
Yes...BYD acquired a factory at Lancaster in 2013 just to make diesel buses.
@@johnhg_myaus Makes the entire argument on tariffs sort of... mute.
We love everything else Chinese and they are already here. Might as well let them sell us the $10K EVs.
Too late
LOL they're 10 years late. Should have opened it a long time ago. Nobody is living in Warren, MI to build tech.
If you've been to Fry's Electronics in Palo Alto GM had an office there you can see it on Google maps and see the GM sign outside. 410 Portage Ave. Palo Alto. You can see Google maps photos from 2009. They've been there for a long time.
Yet another bad decision from GM.
Agreed
GM tries but is still behind or doesn't try and is still behind. It's a sad story.
They had an office here since 2009 in Palo Alto.
Another SV car? We need more engineers not tech guys in cars!
isn’t that the point of Cruise?
It’s not enough to just build an electric car, it must also be affordable. I have a feeling Tesla’s going to achieve this before any other auto maker.
Tesla already canceled there cheap car program so
The Chinese ev makers already did that. Starting $11k and much better than those craps selling 40k in US
it's not affordable but turning their cars into a tech platform. this is what differentiate Tesla from legacy car makers. Tesla gets constant software update like your iphone
mary says evs sales of 500k by 2025.
GM should have never left Fremont.
General Motors (GM) filed for bankruptcy protection on June 1, 2009, that’s why they left Fremont
BYD buses... be sure to have the fire truck near by...
I love my Chevy Bolt. I can't wait for them to come up with a a solid towing truck with great range.
Can’t get’m ta Deetroit
So, GM will lose more money in TVs. LOL
I will never buy an electric car. They want your car to be a computer so when the time comes they can shut it off.
Would an electric manual transmission be possible?
HAHA. What powers these Re-charging stations? I'll let everyone sit on that one. NOTHING will replace oil and gas until we tap into the FREE energy un-attached to a grid.
Free energy? Un-attached to the grid? Can you be more specific? Are you referring to nuclear?
GM does not have a chance long term if they really enter the tariff free playing field. Chinese EV's will crush them
Neither do you or your employer if you are expected to compete on a cost basis with peasant slave laborers.
Behind the curve and afraid of an offshore invasion prompts this publicity stunt.
They do not need to open there to find talent... It cost too much to operate there. I hope they know what they are doing.
The money they spent are taxpayers money anyways. If they don't spend it the Government would take the money back.
I will bet my life on it that they dont have a clue what they are doing and they are doing a monkey see monkey do with the fear of missing out. If you dont have any tech vision, it doesnt matter where you move to . They make it seem like silicon valley doesnt have the highest number of failures in tech and lose the most money. If these moe rons moved to silicon valley to produce a better battery then she is not a very smart ceo since the biggest and most technological battery company is not in silicon valley.
I guess she doesnt realize that tesla didnt create their battery technology and that was a partnership with panasonic
They bought Chinese BYD School Buses with Tax Payer Money?
That's why the lot of buses eat working too good or licked we suck. Electric cars buses no good
No one wants electric junk. 😂
Nice, but EVs aren't wanted.
propaganda
Detroit 2.0. Your officially ghetto now San Francisco.
Tesla is the best car company ever! No gas stations, No oil changes, No smog check, No corrupt dealership, No catalytic converter and as fast as a $650,000 Lamborghini
Don't forget the crappy build quality
Good news for the bottom 10% of tech workers that got layoff from Tesla, Google and the likes.
You have a home at the EV leader, GM (Government Motors).
We do not want to bail out your bloated company.
