When it comes to the hair, I believe the interview process varies from being in the job in the sense that the rules are much more lax. You can definitely wear your hair down during your interview, and just having it pulled back is perfectly fine as well😄. For most airlines the rule of thumb while in flight, is that the hair has to be put up is it falls pat the shoulder . I really hope this was helpful! Good luck on your interview 🙏🏽!

So the face to face are with mask on? What were your questions? How long was your interview? Why was your day so long? When did you find out that you got your CJO?
I’m sorry I can’t answer all of these questions because I got my job offer long before Covid was a thing😅. Also remember that every airline is going to have a different way of doing the face-to-face. For my airline I received my CJO on the spot before leaving, but that’s not the case for everyone. My entire process took a long time because of each of the segments they had for the interview and how many people there were, but other airlines might not be as long.

Hi! Great questions! I would say majority of people stuck to solid and neutral colors. That being said, as long as you are looking crisp and professional, there’s no absolute no’s on colors ( but of course stay away from loud patterns or neon colors like bright pinks, yellows, or greens.) Pencil skirts and dresses can be great options as long as they are paired with stockings or sheer tights, are of a professional length( below the knee or longer) and are not too form fitting.
I went to my F2F at AA today and stayed back with the small group of ppl after the large group left. I did my one and one and think it went really well. The interviewee took a picture of my passport and asked how soon I can start training. Nonetheless, I didn’t get a CJO on spot. I’m very worried and think I didn’t get it? Do you think I’ll get it after or if not on spot then I can pretty much forget it?
This is a great question! Firstly, CONGRATULATIONS on making it to the F2F! And secondly, I’m not sure how it works for all airlines, but I know with mine, they still called people back, even if they didn’t get the CJO on the spot. I know people who received a call back more than a month after their CJO. It’s not a “ no” until you receive a thanks but no thanks email.

Congratulations on making it to the F2F! I wouldn’t stress too much about it. If you haven’t had trouble reaching the overhead bins in the past, you should be fine with the reach test. I have plenty of friends who were also around 5 feet tall and they are still fight attendance to this day!

These are all such great questions! Definitely take out any facial piercings because a lot of airlines don’t allow them, and it’s better safe than sorry. Keep the nails neutral colors, or french tips, and medium length and longest. And a solid color that is natural it’s also recommended when it comes to hair during your interview and throughout training.

Question, on the website with the airlines that I’m getting interviewed for requires a passport and my interview is almost here I ordered my passport but it will not be here in time for the interview will that affect me could I just tell them its on the way.
Every airline is a bit different, but it depends how soon your passport will be there. Typically the rule is that you would need it before you started training.
As long as it is professional and you feel comfortable and confident, the I don’t see any problem with it. I made it a point to wear something that stood out from others at my interview and it worked in my favor❤️
Mamie, if you can help me in understand what really happened so I did 2 type of assessment for FA position with your airline and 4 days after the 2nd assessment I got this email from them saying that they decided not to advance me in the process of hiring at that moment i did very well on the 1st assessment and on the 2nd one I got this report saying that I had many good strengths nothing else
Thank you for reaching out!! This is very peculiar 🕵🏽♀️. I can’t speak for certain, but I feel like this happens sometimes when they decide to close the applications after getting enough people to apply. Have you noticed whether the application has closed or if it’s still open? Another way to find out is to email the hiring team and make sure you didn’t encounter a glitch. I do have friends who randomly received a “thanks but no thanks” email before their scheduled next portions, but it was by accident. Good thing they reached out to the hiring team!
This is a wonderful question! Everyone’s process will be a little bit different depending on which airline they are applying for, but typically speaking it takes around 4 to 9 months from the time you apply, till the time you get your CJO and actually start training. Some people start training as soon as 1 to 2 months after receiving their conditional job offer.
You absolutely have a great chance! They love when someone can speak another language. I know plenty of flight attendants who’s first language is not English 😄
They didn’t during my interview, but things may have changed in the last few years, so I would just pay close attention to the info they should provide in your email😄
I was hired prior to covid being a thing, so I’m not entirely sure what their regulations on vaccines are now. But I do know that a lot of airlines if not majority are requiring vaccines. In regards to the face-to-face interview, it was required that we bring our passports.

Great question! Budgeting is the best way I can recommend, and saving before hand as much as possible. Because you don’t get paid much at all during training, and with my airline, we still had to cover our own food.

What’s the process after Cjo and how long
This is a wonderful question! Everyone’s process will be a little bit different depending on which airline they are applying for, but typically speaking it takes around 4 to 9 months from the time you apply, till the time you get your CJO and actually start training. Some people start training as soon as 1 to 2 months after receiving their conditional job offer.
Hey if your application status changed to “ qualifications under review” after a F2F is that good or bad?
Anything that doesn’t say “not selected” is good in my opinion!

You absolutely have a great chance! They love when someone can speak another language. I know plenty of flight attendants who’s first language is not English 😄

They didn’t during my interview, but things may have changed in the last few years, so I would just pay close attention to the info they should provide in your email😄
Did you have to vaccinated at the interview? Also did you have to have your passport with you?
I was hired prior to covid being a thing, so I’m not entirely sure what their regulations on vaccines are now. But I do know that a lot of airlines if not majority are requiring vaccines. In regards to the face-to-face interview, it was required that we bring our passports.

Great question! Budgeting is the best way I can recommend, and saving before hand as much as possible. Because you don’t get paid much at all during training, and with my airline, we still had to cover our own food.
