Thanks for this video. So helpful. Tip for getting both sides even: cut one sleeve to perfection then fold your shirt in half lengthwise and basically trace the cut on the other side. (:
This tutorial is really effective. The previous way I used to do it was just hold a bunch of the shirt in one hand, and cut deep with the scissors and hope I didn’t botch a spot.
It looked really sloppy, and thanks to your saying lay it flat on a table. It makes for a smoother cut to see what you’re doing. Had no issues when I cut the sleeves off twenty minutes ago.

rather than cut each side of the shirt individually, I find it easier to fold the Tshirt in half (lengthwise) and just make one cut through both sleeves at the same time. It keeps the sides symmetrical.
Doubling-up works only if you have sewing shears or something equally as sharp.
I just know these things - I was born knowing.
Three years later, I step in to make things right. Don't cut both sleeves with pansy-ass scissors and screw it all up. And who the hell has sewing shears? Sewers. I may be a woman, but I can't sew to save my life. Cut one sleeve. Fold in half. Cut the other sleeve to match, like the boss ass sleeveless shirt wearer you are. You're all welcome.

wow, ive been doing it wrong this whole time! which is why i had a problem with unevenness and flaps. no right angle, and i need to do one sleeve first. other than this being extremely hilarious especially at the no sleeves v neck (i lost it there), this was very informative!

It's easier to get them to match up if you fold the shirt in half vertically and cut the second one lined up with the first after you get the first sleeve right.
