Brilliantly played out by all actors, great production by all the backroom team a must listen too.
“I’d rather take the word of a German officer than the British press”.....🙂 I enjoyed the play, thanks for all the uploads.

Thought out
Six stars.
Nazi judges just aren't as scary with that proper English accent articulating the words (with a mild attempt at a German accent).
If found guilty, ye shall be put to death. Cheerio !
Bad casting for that part
Somewhat disingenuous to change the ending… why was that done?
Have listened to dozens of stories on UA-cam. This stands out by far the best in every respect. Read Folletts books years ago, remembering his name in the first place to choose to listen. Great recording of a great story. even better being true. I'm a novelist. Thanksalot!
Well written and well performed even with ALL British accents.
I love the music they play. Thank you. I'm so glad I subscribed.
Excellent, thank you!
brilliant ,really enjoyed this one as well.
German U-boat U-570 captured By British: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Graph
Interesting link! Thanks for posting!
My favourite radio drama, a superb back story to as well.
British spelling......hey how's it going in your part of the world?
Thanks for Uploading.
how refreshing to hear about the Germans instead of the British - trust Follett to find out and write about this U-boat. Excellent play and thanks for uploading
Kens youngest?
👍
Really enjoyed that.
Just before my birth! Interesting! Was born near a port! Plymouth
Sorry wrong war@
understandable though it is, I cannot listen to it without even an attempt at German accents :')
AWSOME.. I was hoping the box wasn't found and another escaped and blew the boat up, the guy who un-armed the missels got hanged and the captain that waved his shirt was cleared on any wrong doings..
you could at least make a try at a German pronunciation and use their words for lieutenant, etc. we all understand 'Nein' and 'Ja, mein commandant'. it's 'Shtine' not Stein, for instance. this sounds like a British crew. it spoils it for me - i guess i'm in the minority though. they do the same with a French story. one thing for Hollywood, we do use accents and proper words. it's so much more realistic.
It was made in 1975 for a British audiance. Perhaps you could build a time-machine and complain in person? Personally, I think you're an entitled, whiney, butthole -and I guess I'm not in the minority.
