It took me forty nonstop minutes to beat the Schwarzgeist on my first try, severely under levelled and having rarely using the Gummi ship as possible. Now that it’s done, I can actually enjoy the music
Absolutely loved how every detail of the Schwartz (or jellyfish as I used to call him) from his entrance to the weaponry, to the secret buddy at the end was beautifully recreated. I've 100% all the gummi stuff and would gladly pay money for more Einhander dlc
As soon as I ran into this boss the first time, I knew who it was from playing Eihander 20+ years ago on the PS1. I was ecstatic when I heard the original theme when I fought it against with the Endymion. I beat it on my first try because I remember playing though hundreds of times to beat the game on the hardest difficulty back in the day and I knew the attack patterns.
I had to use a custom ship that died to it in one to three hits and beat it after about four tries... Then tealized how much stronger prebuilts were after the fact... Good news, though, is I learned phase 1 is near impervious to cannon fire while phase 2 is nearly impervious to lasers.
Schwarzgeist is a beast in KH3. Harder than an Sephiroth fight, and one of the hardest fights period in all of Kingdom Hearts. And the hardest without gimmicks. Losing FF to make fans of this game happy after decades is worth it.
I haven't played Kingdom hearts 3 yet and I just stumbled on this song while looking up Einhander tracks. I normally hate spoilers about bosses and such in games I haven't played yet but HOLY DAMN. Knowing this boss is in this game has me freaking PUMPED to play KHIII!

After Listening to the original song & the Remix from The Einhander remix album, I feel like the arrangement in this Game comes off more "Upbeat", "Celebratory" & "Victorious" Than the "Mysterious" & "Uh-oh Your in trouble now" moods of the originals. I hope it's not just Me that feels this?
@TheDreamrevolution well do take in account the original game of this song was a *LITERAL* hero's journey and had to play over and hour and a half straight with no saves and go through the gigantic mess of stage 5 (this is hits more for people who had to play the "SECRET SHIP" run of the original game)

I knew I recognised this tune from somewhere. I beat this guy last night and I was going crazy trying to remember where I heard the tune before It's been so long since I played Einhander on PS1 I can't believe they actually used it in a Gummi ship boss fight.
**Sees giant tornado at the center** STRAIGHT TO THE VORTEX- **Cutscene and finds this boss.** WAIT WHAT WHY DIDN'T I GET WARNED ABOUT THIS?! **Gets crushed a few times.** Let's see how others are fairing- "I can't find this stupid boss in this place." Me: What? DID NO ONE ELSE BUT ME JUST GO INTO THE VORTEX?! Anyways when that boss music came on, I didn't realize I was facing the top secret boss of the game but I managed to beat it eventually. It felt so good, the gummi ship was one of my favorite things and having a mega secret boss was a great addition.
I didn't find it because I flew into the upper part (which just acts like the boundary). I didn't notice the different glow at the middle where you are supposed to go.
I had always wondered what the names of the pilots were way back when I played this. It's a shame they never made a debut in any other version. Perhaps we'll get a remaster of this game soon? I hope so. Glory with the moon, Mercy on the Earth.

Nah Einhander is a fan favorite. Kinda silly how well-known it is, every other day you get someone going "Make Einhander 2"! Then Square announced they were getting Einhander staff to do the gummi ship portions in KH3 and everyone freaked out. I'd say it's about as popular as Ikaruga.
@@iancomtois9832 To be fair, everything they encountered in Gummi Space was easily identifiable as a heartless. Schwarzgeist on the otherhand has no identifying emblem on it's chassis. It is only in the second phase that it is revealed that a heartless was infact piloting the war machine the whole time, but you wouldn't have known that until you destroyed Schwarzgeist itself, forcing the heartless to eject.
@@dangerouslysafe3 If you look closely, there's a Heartless emblem on one of the fins attached to the rotating dish. It's hard to spot given the camera is underneath for most of the battle.

The Schwarzgeist is more of a pain than the Omega Machina is; heck, he's worse than both Omega Machina and Supreme Warrior. I died to this guy thirteen times on my first runthrough playing Kingdom Hearts III on the Xbox (before Re:Mind was even released, much less in development).

I did this because it was the only ship i had fast enough to break through the tornado. Im pretty sure that was set up intentionally
