Such things exist in degrees, not in absolutes. The degree of human rights is greater in some places than others. Corona virus made the west less respectful of human rights because removing those rights supposedly saved lives. Personally I believe in those rights but there are more important things than human rights alone. Human rights have been an excuse to erase the definition of marriage and gender norms in the west. This is one of the greatest problems of our time for the cultures in the west in my opinion. I believe the impact on future generations will be very bad.
