I love Jeju Island!! I was there September 7 to 13 2024. Jeju Island is so beautiful and unique, it reminds me of my home here in Hawaii. So rich in culture and traditions. I love the food and all the seafood there. The abalone, sea urchins, the horned conch shells, and others that I can’t even remember its name. And oh their black pork was so awesome. Jeju Island grows the sweetest tangerines I’ve ever tasted. I've been eating it every day since I arrived. I like how you see those stone walls everywhere! And the Dol Harubang statues. So much I’ve learned about Jeju island and so many places I have toured and visited. Even went on the ferry and toured Udo island, that was awesome too. I went to their Aquarium, their Water World, Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls, the Glass Museum, Hallim Park, and several Botanical Gardens. We even drove around the whole island. What really amazed me was that my friend/tour guide was born and raised there and that her mother who’s in her 90s was one of those Haenyeo female divers. Wow! I’ve seen documentaries about them and that blew me away! So much I want to share here, but there's too much. I will go back and continue my journey and adventure there next year. Jeju Island is like a hidden gem. Love your video. It just brings back my experience and memories. Com sa mi dah!
It sounds like you had an amazing time! It’s so heartwarming to see your experience captured in this way. Totally agree with Jeju Island bring a hidden gem! I would go back there some time for sure
You, sir, should make more videos like this. This video is as relaxing as the way you explore the island. Relaxing yet informative and interesting to follow through. Best for family style travelers.
This is an amazing video. Love how informative you made it and how you gave an overview of the island as well as breaking down in main attractions in North, South. East, West. Love it and thank you for sharing

I particularly love that hotel w washing machine as well laundry being done for u folks, do u hv to pay extra? May l know which hotel was that?.. Do u hv any recommendation for 4, 60-70's Seniors gg to Jeju Island. I m not into museum, no need tea museum eithr but particularly love their local markets esp Dongsun mkt, did i say correctly? I like that comedy show n slower pace of activity, a little walk to see scenic view is welcome, love seaffod along coastal areas , more homey type of eaterys than restaurants. Would to support the locals. Thank you. Kamsa hamida Looking forward to your kind replies. Hv a great weekend. Happy Easter Sunday tomorrow! God bless🙏
The hotel that provided free laundry service for us was "Jeju Bricks Hotel", which you can book on booking.com: www.booking.com/hotel/kr/jejubricks.html They don't advertise that they provide free laundry which I find a bit strange. It is close to one of the major walking trail, so I can recommend it if your main objective is there for a bit of scenic walking / hiking. This hotel is down south near Seogwipo. Much quieter than busy main city up north. I would split my stays between northern end of Jeju where main town is for Dongmun market and the famous "Nanta" show, followed by a few days down south for a slower pace just exploring waterfalls and walking trails along the coast. Jeju is a wonderful island!
Either will be fine. We went with petrol because it was slightly cheaper and had concerns with electric car chargers availability. But when we were driving around, there were chargers everywhere!
You don't need to know any Korean to drive there. I assume you'll be navigating around with something like Naver Maps. Google Maps doesn't work there. All the signs / traffic signals are pretty standard. We didn't particularly like the low speed limit, and it probably takes a bit of getting used to driving opposite to what we drive at home (they drive on the right hand side). But aside from that, driving around the island is pretty enjoyable.

Thanks for watching! Do let me know if you have any questions
Great video! Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
5 days was not enough but still awesome
Yeah.. agree. 5 days long enough to see a fair bit already. There's plenty of tours that only do 2-3 days! Way too short!
Hi. What kind of car do you recommend renting in Jeju, electric or petrol?
Either will be fine. We went with petrol because it was slightly cheaper and had concerns with electric car chargers availability. But when we were driving around, there were chargers everywhere!
I am going to jeju in July. Do i need international driver license to rent a car?
Yeah.. Korea is one of those countries that does require IDP unfortunately.
i am going to jeju island in may and want to rent a car. How hard is driving in korea? i can't read korean.

@@whereisant 70% of the world's cars drive on the right ......darn those British :)
Your thumbnail is nothing like Jeju.
Lol.. Was waiting for someone to point that out. Took over 1 month!
Anyway.. Just changed it.
