ORIGINAL is in West Texas [that is in the beginning of video above, windmill scene] they have a New Mexico Division added in 2005... West Texas TRR Location consists of King, Cottle, Motley and Dickens counties.
I own a stud quarter horse he was registered his name was wimpy Barnes he was out of the first registered quarter horse of America wimpy he was beautiful I'm pulling muscles when you said on him you could see the muscles is bulging out of his neck and how big and beautiful he was Soylent muscle and he was a very good stud we used him for a lot of readings but you still can ride him with mares and geldings. The only bad habit he had was if he seen another stud around his mares he will go crazy but besides everything else he was wonderful even my little children rode him he was so gentle
Sadly not all of these horses get to retire to a nice life. Many horses are still sent to slaughter in Canada and Mexico. We as a species (and yes we are all responsible) need to do better!
Patience Miller For some reason It can't respond to the comment you left talking about "My! I struck a nerve" No. No PTSD or Anger towards you in anyway. I'm just saying there are things that are out of a person's control. It dosen't condone what people to horses tho. Like I said you are very passionate for horses and willing to bring up this topic, that's why I said you don't tie in with some of the abuse that happens in the horse world. But as a "community" it's going to be really hard to make and entire human race better to horse just cause 1000 of years of cultures and beliefs and stubborness. But as for in America yes we can do our best to care for these horses, make sure they have homes. Many rescues have been showing up and taking horses in, and as a "community" we should know that getting a horse from a Rescue is better that having someone breed one out and overpopulate and then there is no room for the horses SO they get round up and sent to slaughter. I feel what you say honestly I'm not saying it isn't true. it's to the point where only working horses have value and older horses are sold off for meat, old a few I've ever seen have actually got to have a vet come a peacefully lay them to rest. So as people of the United States we need to do better for the horse's and the horse's needs rather than our own, but there is a old saying "you can't fix stupid" People will still be out there beating their horses, using them up, tearing up their mouth, leaving them in stalls, etc etc. So as a "community" that WANTS better for the horse , to give the better homes, save them from slaughter, lay them to rest when they are so old they can't eat anymore, I simply do not want to be tied in with these "humans" who do these types of things, cause this shouldn't be what a human represents cause as a human we speak, learn, have common sense, feel pain, and sympathy seeing something being hurt or killed in front of our eyes makes up react. SO that's what I was trying to say. The people who care about horse's (you and I) and hell even other animals that go through bad treatment, we are no where close to being like these people who beat and burn their horses, cause quite frankly people who bloody animals and walk away like they were just temporary tools are not "human" to me.
It must be a tremendous amount of emotional and physical stress carrying the weight and conscience of the whole world. People eat animals. It's none of your business. Judging other cultures for their taste in food. Makes you seem extremely arrogant. If you want to bleed your heart over a cultures eating habit, consider tribes of cannibalism. In my opinion, you, as a person really need to do better.
lillkitty good humans, or bad humans are still going to be humans regardless of your opinion of them. Especially using yourself as the standard. You self righteous arrogant people. It's almost comical the way you consider your opinions so important. Opinions based on emotion an no REAL experience.
Patience Miller get real so you think the meat man has eaten over millennia to Survive jumped into the fire? I would rather take an old horse to the killer than have him suffer from injury or pain.

The horses look too small for such a big man to ride.
merry hunt mlax
Quarter horses are not always tall, but very stout and strong, muscular and yet agile and quick. Bred that way for the cow work.

I think differently. I prefer the method of over breeding and then selecting the best and getting rid of the rest.
