TOM HAINES THE MAN BEHIND THE ATTIC NC #1 AND THE SOUTH'S #3 ROCK N ROLL NIGHTCLUBS.

The name Tom Haines might ring a bell to many you, especially if you’ve lived in Eastern North Carolina and loved live Rock N Roll. During the 70’s, 80s and 90’s THE ATTIC was a top venue for hottest national and regional acts. They were NC’s number 1 and south’s number 3 nightclub and TOM HAINES was the guy behind it all. They had some of the best regional and national acts. Such as Jerry Seinfeld, The Byrds, The Ramones, Dave Mattews, and Greg Allman.
But all during those Attic years, and even continuing today, Tom has been dealing with the ramifications of being exposed to Agent Orange. He writes about it in his book, SNAFU: My Vietnam Vacation.

Allen Handelman Rock 93 , I always listened to you in my younger years growing up and would tape your shows and interviews with the mighty Van Halan and other great bands . Allan so good to see you on UA-cam, my friend. Many a Sunday night was spent listening to your show on the old WRDU in Raleigh, NC back in the day. What happened to rock and roll radio? Thank God for the 80's.

Tom is a great Man. My band Brotherhood Of Peace (BOP) played the Attic numerous times in the '70's. We were there with Glass Moon, Grinderswitch and others. Tom was always kind and considerate to us. Wishing you the best my friend!
