Yeah that's what I heard, (Tuvan) Throatsinging.
There is some Tuvan khoomei and some Tuvan sygyt from the other members, and there is some strohbass from him, from what I can hear. I think Mr. Bass only uses strohbass for the bridge (down to A1), but doesn't need khoomei to sound that good for the rest, because he is incredible.
