  • Chichimeca was the name that the Nahua peoples of Mexico generically applied to many bands and tribes of nomadic and semi- nomadic peoples who inhabited northern modern-day Mexico and southwestern United States.
The primary indigenous people of present-day Zacatecas were the Chichimeca Indians.
Groups belonging to these Indians include Zacatecos, Cazcanes, and Guachiles.

Ahhh the lovely Zacatecas. The ones that defeated Spain. The Mexica empire had 800,000 warriors and defeated 1,000+ Spanish soldiers, but the Zacateca, much smaller tribe, defeated 2,000+ Spanish and overthrew them. It's almost like the David and Goliath story. The smallest empire beat a gigantic monarchy.

It wasn't just like that, the Chichimecas had a big advantage over the Aztecs when they fought the Spaniards in that they had adopted using Spanish Horses and weaponry, are you honestly telling me the Aztecs wouldn't have wrecked the Spanish if they had horses and Spanish weaponry? C'mon bruh even then the Aztecs did win some battles and many Spaniards were sacrificed there weren't even 800000 aztecs in the whole empire FUUCKK how the fuck were there 800000 warriors? There were only 200k some people in the whole empire, no need to degrade one civilization to uplift another...

its because of guerrilla tactics, they usually consisted of small raiding parties that would sack spanish settlements, killing livestock, people, and mostly disrupting the populace..these tribes "the chichimecs" consisted of various nomadic peoples..they were extremely primitive, they didn't grow crops or domesticate animals instead they forged for food daily. The spanish said they were arched over all day picking up scraps from the ground..they didn't even have gods, they worshiped the sun and moon and slept on the ground ..
The Aztecs referred to them as "sons of dogs", there culture faded away because they didn't know how to write, make art, construct villages or towns ..most of the north and central mexico consisted of these nomadic groups, the civilization builders were in the south..

The Aztecs fought in hand to hand combat which made them susceptible to the guns and cannons of the Spanish, and even with their disadvantages the Aztecs had some success. That's also why the Aztecs and Spanish never conquered the the Yopes who were excellent archers, and lived in a mountainous terrain.

From Jerez, Zacatecas, living in the illegal settler nation of U.S. I am on a mission to decolonize myself and society, and one thing that hurts my heart is I will probably never find my original tribe, but I am aware of the few that are surviving. Seeing these people whom are relatives of my ancestors gives me happiness.
This mans words are true and of good heart. These people kept Mother Earth healthy, and "civilization" has destroyed the Americas. I will try to visit and sit down and talk with them soon, as when I was a kid I was ignorant and did not realize these were my ancestors. May the Creator keep them safe and give them the resources to keep their tradition alive

first part of this video you are in a place called La Buffa. . , Feliz Navidad means Merry Christmas. Hope you went to go see the La Quemada. which is the ruins of Chicomeztoc. The Huichol are not the original Indigenous people of Zacactecas they claim they originate from San Luis Potosi but migrated to the states of Zacatecas, Durango and Jalisco. Because of enslavery due to Silver mining in Zacatecas there were many tribes brought in to work the mines many assimilated into the Mexican culture to survive thus losing culture and traditions. But the Huichol are a strong people and regardless seem happy not living in mainstream society but up in the hills and desrts of Zacatecas. I hope you bought some of their beautiful beadwork.

+Quagmire Giggityy The language you are using is picked up to suit your approach to life, also it has not served your to continue to benefit others along the way follow some of my videos and understand what i am trying to explain, every language is old and has not served humanity, these people are land owners Spanish is not what they spoke until they were made to speak. Hence the life of these innocent humans have been suppressed for hundreds of years in the name of religion and political gain. No land owner in of the world is rich they have lost all including their language and their land to outsiders.
Follow and share the true reality of human actions ua-cam.com/video/kTvj4f2zltY/v-deo.html

I highly doubt these are Chichimecas, the Chichimecas have been exinct for quite some time and their culture has been lost forever, the Chichimeca Jonaz from Guanajuato are maybe the last of what remains of these people, modern heavily indigenous Zacatecans is the closest you'll get to the Chichimecans that roamed those lands before the Spaniards arrived
