Thanks to all of you, I haven't checked in for a while, but I really appreciate everyone watching this! Here's a quick FAQ for the comments below. - I added some specifications for how I made this vid to the description for those of you who are interested. - The original 'hotewig.sib'-file has vanished, together with my old PC, so unfortunately I can't provide you with any MIDI, PDF, or other related source material. - Unfortunately the online midi-to-mp3-converter I used to render the MIDI is off the air. But it was very basic, so you should be able to find similar engines when googling for 'midi-to-mp3'. - This must've taken me a few days to make, on-and-off. In my memory it was definitely doable in the sense that it's basically about transcribing 75 isolated micro-songs. Transcribing parts of the History of Japan movie was much more laborious than this. - On that note, I won't finish the History of Japan transcription, I lost interest for transcribing bill wurtz for now, perhaps some other time. However, I'll be putting out some new content on a regular basis on short notice, so stay tuned for that. Take care, Bram
My guyyyyyy, I CANNOT even begin to imagine the length of time it took to listen to all these jingles, analyse them, choose instruments, score them and then create this video with timestamps for each one. God-like, crazy behaviour, if you ask me. Congrats to you and thank you!
Let me be honest. It’s all just jingles, which isn’t what I had in mind, but it’s all gentle, soothing keyboard music, and I love it all. I really do. 😌
I wish he would do a full song of each of these. These chords invoke a feeling for a few splits seconds of untold longing for another world. Does that make sense?
hi. just thought i'd ask you something. do you do your transcriptions by ear? also, when do you think the rest of the history of japan's jingles will be transcibed? -Sequoyah p.s you did a good job.
