I read somewhere she used to get annoyed with George because he never sang a song the same way twice. This recording was toward the end of their relationship. I noticed in this rendition they deleted the verse where they said "the Jones and Wynette set"
This is the very example of how they made us all love them. They were so young and looked like they were having the time of their lives. She was soooo beautiful in this video. I love how her voice soared. R.I.P. Tammy. You will never be forgotten.
New country lacks soul and life. Old country speaks to me. We have lost our way and have it too good now. Not that that is a bad thing. Its just we will never have good country music anymore. Back then we shared the same common misery that gave us Tammy,George and the rest of good old country singers.
I know. I loved his expression too. Did you also notice he just says beer. He doesn't finish that line with the word weenies. Maybe he didn't like weenies. We know he liked beer. Lol.

Nice...gotta say, I still have my 45 of this great song. In fact, I had to share on my Facebook page. Along with finding out why George is being called "The Possum". Sheesh...his face isn't that bad!
I've always loved this duet of theirs! Very bouncy and upbeat, and lots of fun to see them sing it live! I'm guessing this was from the TV show "That Nashville Music" aka "That Good Ol' Nashville Music"?
ITS SO SAD ABOUT DARRYL SINGLEARY PASSING AWAY. HE WAS SO UOUNG! GOD BLESS HIS FRIENDS AND FAMILY. SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. SORRY IF I SPELLED HIS LAS NAME WRONG.
@charcites935 i got that after i read it a few times. i didn't mean to delete your comment. I normally don't give a hoot about the dislikes so i really hadn't paid attention to it. I'm sorry if that upset you.
Simply put, the two greatest voices ever in country music!
I do love to see and hear these 2 from the early days. Tammy and George they are the best singing and their voices. Greatest
I wish we could go back to those good old days
So beautiful. 💗Love Tammy & George. True Country Magic. 🐞🎧🎼🎶. Cheers 🥂

This is the best ever George and Tammy's singing magic. The early days magic
Two of the greats, together…legendary. That they couldn’t stay together speaks volumes why it is the rest of us mortals can’t either.

I have heard this sing "by accident " in a local political radio talk show and fell in love with it immediately.

@Cindy8789 you're like the third person to say that! lol
Looks like a Hee Haw set.
By the look tammy gives george I don't think they were speaking
I noticed they didn't look at each other like they usually do. I think she was upset with him too.
I think John Prine and Iris Dement did much better singing this one!
