And thats why I really cant appreciate the franchise that much, even the "best" game is so beyond broken and corrupted, that to make it work well enough even by the recommended spechs, you have to at least download some second hand content, clean templates and neighbourhoods, SimPE, Neighbourhood check and more just to make sure your save will not commit a Chiaotzu on Nappa moment. I like downloading overhauls, fixes and all for games, my Vice City and San Andreas know how much I do, but having to download various things beyond an widescreen fix, 4gb patch and all that, just to make sure the game will work even thought it will implode sooner then later, is such a shame... At least the game is less likely to break if you never play with the pre-made families... But you still will have to run Neighbourhood check just in case... What a headache. All that said, nice video! Im sure people who like the game will gladly fight throught all that and enjoy their time
It's not that dramatic in terms of what you need to play. Especially now with osab's Starter Pack. Clean templates can be installed at the same time as the game. Beyond a few mods to help with the overabundance of Sims the game automatically generates everything else is negotiable and purely up to personal taste. Corruption is an overblown worry and honestly just doesn't happen unless you're messing with core game files. April Black here on UA-cam did an excellent deep dive on it. Pink soup can be managed if it happens, but in my experience avoiding high poly and detailed textured CC does the trick. Basically, I wouldn't write it off. It's REALLY not that serious and much less of a hassle to set up and play than 3 or 4.
