I'm a carpenter from UK. Its a specialist tool for specific uses, Mainly plunge cutting applications in awkward places. Not half as bad as shown. However somewhat overpriced.
What about the kids. Think about the kids........ They can mount them on their bikes . On RC to........... ($350 poorer now but sprites are high ).....
The easy cut series was gardenening tools, this was marketed at cutting small branches, rose bushes etc. Therefore it was for people that couldn't use cutters.
I have the 18V version (this one is 12V) for exactly this reason, going through tree branches that are too big for manual shears. For that purpose I find it fantastic.
Ha ha, worst thing is you want a sharp pruning blade for bonsai to reduce scarring. So those tiny lumberjacks could only use this for felling the tiny trees!
Yea exactly. Wranglerstar tends to be way too critical and forget that not all people owns a farm and do a plunge in a 40 cm diameter log. Like when he tested the green works, that thing would be great for a normal garden where you can’t use gas powered tools, but he completely misses the point if it he can’t see a use for it
Keep in mind power tools tend to vibrate a lot. I don't think an elder woman would have the same strength to hold the tool tight. Those vibrations start to hurt even my young hands after a few hours, If you wanted to cut things you could use big pruners as well, and a fraction of the cost. But yeah I think it just depends on the person,
@@alejandrocuellar15 That's what I was going to say. An elderly person with limited strength would not even have the dexterity to not hurt themselves, they might even try to cut something downside up and split their face with that little saw... An old manual saw like that japanese would be much easier to control with limited strength and it would be unlikely to cause any harm. I get that Solus Shop only wanted to see the bright side, but I'd say there isn't one
@Billy West Humour is subjective, so you can rest assured that someone found it funny. Seems we disagree on humour, on men dyeing their hair, and on how, despite the older generation never having it so good - when age is celebrated like never before, they're supposedly made to feel bad for ageing. "Nevermind" is probably something that we do agree on.
I agree! Man I'm impressed at its quality considering how it held up to the force he put on it. It's not a profissional tool. It is for basic plunge cutting.
This is why I stopped watching this channel. An opinion is very clearly formed before the video starts and he just spends 15 minutes convincing you it's correct.
I can thoroughly acknowledge that, but drywall saws are very cheap, simple and quick to use because, well its drywall. Though I definitely see the value for carvers or contractors who do a lot of drywall cutting.
I think many times a bad review only reflects a reviewer who didn't understand the purpose and specific use of the tool or used it wrong. This is this case.
I’m an electrician in the UK. I’ve found this tool very useful for cutting tongue and groove to lift floorboards. I also use it to cut plasterboard (drywall) to fit electrical accessories. It’s great, I’d really appreciate it if I could adjust the foot to alter the plunge depth. 👍
I’m a electrician in the USA I actually just got my masters license and am starting as a project manager Monday I still love my tools just wondering if this will cut metal
Thats first thing i thought off read my comment very handy indeed dont know too many people would step up to the little fella in a defnesive situation loved your comment you think outside the box too....
Just to clear it for you: Green Bosch is for amateurs. Blue Bosch is for professionals. Mosts Bosch-stuff is made in Hungary exept some Blue Pro Tools. What is the Nano Blade for? Check the website. But to make is short. Elderly people or peope that are too weak for a handsaw. Thats is! Definitely no precision tool. They show you how to cut down your christmas tree with it on the website. Or to crush carton boxes for recycling. And you know what, it does the job very well for these things. Not more and not less!
Crush carton boxes? With a 200 dollar power tool? Someone too weak to crush carton boxes by hand or with scissors shouldn't be using a power tool for their own safety. Also, is it cutting the tree down or is it pruning it to shape? If it's pruning, I'm pretty sure it would be easier to do with a small handsaw no matter how strong you are. Again, if you can't cut small branches without a power tool, don't use a power tool. It's dangerous.
again ... the price in way lower in Germany ... about 80 Euros ... so - certainly not the 200 Dollars for specialty importing stuff that is not even ready for the us electrical sockets ...
I bought my Makita angle grinder for like 100 euros worth of Hungarian toy money. A versatile and powerful tool that can, in fact, also do all the things this thing can do but better. I don't know that that price tag makes it any mroe attractive.
Ah Ha, but are they knuckle-less chaps? I mean if one can't protect oneself and show some knuckle, then is it really worth wearing said protection in the first place? I think they could go for a thigh rig holster or a single point sling. Then youd really be a Billy or Betsy badass...😁

Hmm perhaps this could be used a carving tool to block out shapes, But the guard seems very large so its probably hard to make the cuts you want to make.
"The EasyCut 12 from Bosch is the ideal support, also for 𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑑 𝐷𝐼𝑌 𝑒𝑛𝑡ℎ𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑎𝑠𝑡𝑠 keen to complete exterior and interior sawing jobs both quickly and 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐲. The unique NanoBlade saw technology 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞 and vibration-free working: The saw blade has a revolving micro chain, made of small links measuring just 4 mm, that works similarly to a chainsaw." - Bosch
A lot of people do, in timber framing. I've built two frames, 3x5 meters and 8 x 5 meters with some nice fitting joinery using a corded electric chain saw.
I'm a carpenter from the uk and I regularly have to fit kitchens, and the amount of times plumbers/electricians want notches of holes cut into units in tight spaces I think this could be pretty useful. Especially being able to plunge cut into things, or cutting small holes in plasterboard or chipboard flooring. I personally dont see what's so bad about it
I'm also carpenter from UK. An i agree. Its a specialist tool for specific uses, exactly like what you stated. Mainly plunge cutting applications in awkward places.
I bought this when it first came out and this video is 100% correct, this is not a tool, it's a toy. There is not one single job this novelty item can do better or faster than a proper tool for the job.
Americans have problems with easy to use useful tools, and if its not BIG and LOUD with mega horespower its useless. Every tool will have a use, just because it doesnt do, or more to the point you cant use ir properly doesn’t mean its useless .
For the love of God, open your mind man. There are much more things in this world then cutting plywood and trees. I can see huge amount of things that thing can help with. Woodcarving, icecarving, cutting plumbing pipes, making makets (when you need to have hands that not tired and not shaking). And you see, people with disabilities or problems with hands also sometimes want to craft something or do something in their gardens. That was a bad review.
@@vaggelisdogas lol, only thing that I mentioned jigsaw can do better is cutting pipes. And you really think that heavy end extremely vibrating thing will be useful for people with disabilities?
I was super hesitant about it and didn't buy it for a long time. A few months ago I got one and what can I say: I'm actually pretty happy. It's great for cutting thicker tree branches in the garden, cutting wood around the house and cutting flat plastic material from stock. It is much more useful for my use cases then my reciprocating saw.
Well after watching you draw crooked lines with a square and force the saw on dry wood and basically hold it back on the limb, your dislike of this tools performance matches your bias.
With that little tool you dont look like you are trying to show us how it really is but as if you were doing your best to mess up everything you do with it. There should be a segment when you do your best to make use of it.
Cody no offense to you but I think your showing some bias towards the saw. You have to remember it’s a chain saw not meant for precision cuts it’s in my opinion perfect for an elderly lady in her garden or trimming small bushes.
There are tools better suited for that purpose for far less money. Home depot has sunjoe cordless pruning shear for around $ 60 and sun joe mini grass and hedge trimmers, cordless, for between about $20-45. Both include their own integrated battery. Ryobi has a mini hedge and grass grimmer that is similar for $45 that can be used with their regular 18v batteries if you already have those kind of tools. There's just many other options than an expensive tool from a company that's supposed to be professional tools for skilled laborers.
joe king If you already have that specific bosch battery platform it's a little cheaper, but still pretty expensive. As i said those other tools include their own battery and charging cord, or the ryobi uses a much more common platform shared among household power tools with their one+ 18v line.
Dude...you made a "pi$% poor" review video that inadvertently turned out funny. Have to admit I think you're pretty brave to put forth this content in an unironic fashion.
Muppet. You wouldn't use a jigsaw like that. You're clearly supposed to rest the base against the surface to get a tidy cut. I wouldn't buy this, but you're going out of your way to use it poorly.
@tom lewis i just want to saw some small things for crafts and arthritis makes it hard for me to handsaw. i dont want to do branches with it. though, some people with arthritis in their wrist may do better with this, than with pruners, or don't you think so? asking, not condemning!!
@tom lewis but small tasks are what i need help with. with arthritic hands..plus trying to be fast...and accurate, would this not be a good idea to use rather than a hand saw??(and i do ask that honestly, not facetiously )
You didn't understand : here, in Europe, this tool is advertised and introduced as a " Hobby Jigsaw ", that combines the fast cut of the chainsaw and the cut angles and the easiness and " hobbyness " of the jigsaw. It is expensive however.
Except the cut angles are nothing like that of a jigsaw, as shown in the video. You can almost 'draw' with a jigsaw, freehand. This thing's blade is too wide to even get a 30% angle into the wood. Oh...and Jigsaws cut faster than this thing. It's junk.
But it isn't a $200 tool. It's a €79 tool, and the local DIY is running a €20 mail in rebate on top of that. So it's somewhere between a $69 and a $95 tool. It also isn't marketed as a chainsaw. It's marketed as a jigsaw that makes straight cuts like a circularsaw. But it's easier to make plunge cuts with, it doesn't buck like a jigsaw can, and there's no risk of kickback like on a circular saw. Only the battery powered version is marketed as being an alternative to pruning snips, not the bolt cutter like ones, the small hand sized ones. Both the bigger units are 500W corded tools. And the bigger units are €99 and €128 respectively, depending on features and accessories. Nothing about these tools is as expensive as Cody claims, nor is it marketed to do the things he assumes it's supposed to do. It's not a finishing saw, neither is a jigsaw or a circular saw. Bosch Green also sells electric chainsaws, they start at €69 for a 30cm 1500W unit, and go up from there. So if you wanted a chainsaw, you wouldn't be buying a NanoBlade to begin with. You'd buy a chainsaw for a tenner less.
That's the new 18v unit, not the old 12v one. The one Cody is showing in the video is the old tool, which was considerably cheaper. You can clearly see the difference between the batteries.
Ithe 12V tool isnt out of production, the 18v is just a different productline between 12v green and blue bosch. Also, its quite possible that bosch itself wants 109 pounds on amazon, but well you can fly to germany, but it in a store and fly back for that money... the bosch shop is SUPER expensive....
You just don’t get it man... it’s a freaking mini chainsaw! it doesn’t need to be functional. As long as I can saw away at something/anything with it I’m happy. I want this thing
@@TheLexiconDevils if you had any IQ you'd use a proper tool... This was designed by someone who played fallout a bit too much. A reciprocating saw could do 99% of what this thing claims to do better and quicker lol Hell an angle grinder would probably have more precision.
I’ve worked with a few guys that use them for cutting holes in drywall. I still prefer the keyhole saw because it’s easy to carry in a tool belt and is quick enough. Jörg Sprave often uses his for woodworking and making slingshots and it seems to work just fine.
That electron microscope is some impressive equipment, honestly. The fact you were able to zoom into the level of detail necessary to see the incredibly slight faults in the smoothness of that wood with the microscope, caused by such an impressive precision tool.. Truly amazing how far technology has come even since I was born.
@@davegiard2221 My $20 taclife dremel does the same cuts this thing does. and has more versatility. This looks like one of those tools aimed towards people with more dollars then sense.
So disappointed in the hatefulness shown in this video. There's no reason to have such a negative sour attitude like you've had about this tool. It's a very neat tool that has a very limited use. Bosch never designed it for somebody like you, who has multiple hand and power saw, but instead for a different market. I think it's neat, but I would never pay more than $50 for it as a gimmick.
If you would never pay more than 1/4th it's price and it's a gimmick, then your entire argument falls apart. He has a sour attitude precisely because it's an overpriced gimmick.
Might be able to make the part that spins the chain yourself if you knew how to get it locked in with a motor and appropriate cog/gear. with UK price the blade is under $30 so $20 left to build this for under $50
It's not horrible, you are not the right user for this product. A forklift operator also wouldn't use a engine hoist to lift 2t pallets into a trailer...
antraciet I doubt that his opinion would change. Bosch Is highly respected in the US. They are considered to be among the best. Everybody makes a dog every once in a while. I think this is theirs.
Here is an idea...Pat, you should go buy one of these and test it to see if it does everything that the manufacturer says it will do and post a video of your results. It's easy to post a critical review of a critical review from your keyboard. Try it from your woodshop next time.
Then you should. How tough would that be? Test the damn thing. In the mean time...quiturbichin until you do. Once you have established that BOSCH made a $200 pruning tool, you can let us all know your honest opinions of the product. Or, you can get BOSCH to sponsor you! Then you can say whatever you want about the product.
8:10 you can clearly hear the different in the resistance from the mini chainsaw actually having pressure applied to it finally after he got the Japanese pull saw through. So disgustingly biased
He complained that he got tear out and compared it to making precision cuts with a chainsaw... well it's a small chainsaw not intended for precision work. There were some other things that was a bit unfair too. For him it may be a shitty/useless tool but I don't think that Bosch aims this product to people like him.
I'm not sure. Maybe old people with arthritis or something like that who want to prune their bushes? That's one possible use isn't it? Calling it "The Worst Tool Ever Made" isn't fair. Calling it kind of silly OK
You may be a wood worker, but obviously not a wood carver. The point of this tool (IMHO) is not to work pieces for furniture and such, but carving details in a wood spirit, bear or similar piece. For such purposes its use becomes plainly obvious.
When you broke out the saw I was like wow bosch has gone to the dogs.. Sorry Cody you came off like a spoilt boy moaning about the finish of the cut etc. Instead of focusing on what it is. Jig saw would've done the exact same thing. Shame on you Cody!
Look how slow it cuts! *lets the weight of the saw do most of the work, roughly 3/4 of a pound probably that’s a guess from watching*. Also, using the tool out of its intended context and becoming angry and frustrated with the tool and it’s manufacturer for not meeting your expectations. Haha. That’s like using a hammers claw end as a chisel and getting pissed because of chippage and blowout in the wood. I like your channel and content, but this is just silly, this video was a waste of my time and probably yours as well seeing as how upset this tool and Bosch made you. How dare they make a tool for a small variety of tasks. Last thing, “it can’t cut straight” had me rolling, I’m sorry, I mean no offense but that was clearly user error. It appears the creation of this video was simply to add another piece of content to the archives and also get a good stab at Bosch in the meantime for any legitimate reasons. Maybe this is some twisted plug for Bosch. Who knows, maybe Bosch didn’t send wranglerstar any tools to review or didn’t want to and he’s angry, maybe he’s just angry, I don’t know. Disliked the video.
Couldn't agree more. He didn't even try to be objective or impartial. The whole video I was wondering "Why does this guy have a vendetta against Bosch? What did they do to hurt his feelings so bad?"
Mr. Wranglerstar, I do believe that you have used the tool outside it’s comfort zone. My grandma loves to get out and prune her shrubs and what not but the hedger is too heavy, and she is hardly strong enough to use the loppers. She would love this tool. It wouldn’t be a bad stock removal tool if you didn’t care to do a tad bit of clean up with a chisel. Recently we put a new outlet in our house and it was difficult to cut a half decent hole out of, this tool would have been handy. I appreciate the work you and the family put into the videos but this had a negative and sarcastic feel that was unnecessary. I believe this tool needs another video.
I do believe that it's his choice of what he says and it really grinds my gears to know people expect a reaction and when they don't get what they want they ask the person changes thier thought to make them happy. Also he did everything that he said they showed in the demo video so I would believe that it's inside what the manufacturer set as what they think is it's comfort zone. Hope you grandmas well
They make cordless pruning shears and hedge trimmers that are dramatically cheaper and would be just great for your grandma. Also if you can't cut a half decent hole with a $10-15 stab drywall saw, you have no business doing anything handy.
hzuiel I can cut one half decent but I don’t have much experience so it’s harder for a home gamer like myself with little experience. And my grandma just loves chainsaws and she calls them “ power saws “ just imagine that in a real country accent
It functions, but it's worthless. A jigsaw is more precise, easier to handle, safer, faster AND cheaper. The only thing it has over the jigsaw is the ability to plunge-cut. If you need a plunge-cutter, though, just get an oscillating saw. One might argue you would be cheaper off getting one of these instead of both of those. Sure. Until the saw needs to be replaced. Meanwhile, for forestry, any other tool performs better and costs less. There's no point to owning one of these. None.
he blame all sort of things, just becouse he don`t use them or they do not want to admit they are more practical just becouse in America don`t use them.... stupid electrical conection, metrical sistem and many more stuff.. I will not say nothing about his work, he is very hard worker.. But when i look him, i see classic american christian man, raised on hard way, with wash brain and with a hidden passion in his head make America big again. :-) (and than we will open the roofs and we'll take the people out with crane) :-D
You expect a clean cut and yet you forcefully jam it into the material, wiggling it up and down... Do your "tests" again, maintaining a consistent and slow feed while actually trying to make a good cut. I bet you my car it won't be nearly as bad as you presented it.
Thats actually pretty useful for me. I do alot of handcrafts and the fact that this can be used for small stuff is pretty good. It also saves time. But if the saw needs to be replaced everytime then its trash
We do have to give a tool it's due and let our tools do more of the work and not press them so hard, but each tool has an area where it is most useful. 🌎✨
bro thats for gardening. its part of there diy gardening range. its 12v for a start. not for trade or cutting timber. its for old ladies to trim roses. who cuts ply with a chainsaw anyway dude
@@bebo5558 What I meant with my comment was that, I can also make any tool look worthless if I want to and I think that Wranglerstar made a very bad review on this tool that I also find to be a fine tool for the job it is meant for.
First rule of having any credibility as a reviewer: don't come to the table with preconceived bias. While this tool is not for me, I think it would be just what some people's elderly (arthritic) parents would be looking for to help out in the garden. I didn't see the worst tool ever made in this video, unless the tool you were referring to was yourself.
not so great in wood but for installing electrical boxes in remodels mine has become indispensable. cuts the sheetrock far cleaner than any of the hundreds of punch saws i have used,
Cory ramsey I agree I have one also an use it for similar things I cross. Theirs some lite jobs it’s good with. I mean sure theirs other more powerful tools that can do the job for the same things. But for little simple things it works pretty well. I never bought mine for home building or anything like that from ground up. Or the heavy work they marketed it for. Or what this guy is knocking it for. My purchase I’m sure with the same with you. Was a thought in mind of fairly light duty cuts that may of worked better or may of been quicker than your existing tools.
Precision handyman stuff...finally some good conversation. I'm glad it works for you, but all of the times that I have had to do precision work in a finished home, sheetrock dust WAS the enemy. This is a mini chainsaw that spits debris in all directions. Again I will state that a cheap jigsaw with a downward cutting blade is a far better, cleaner, and economical way to cut any finish hole that this thing can cut.
a lot of times i grab my dremel multimax but when it comes down to it this thing is just easier to use and yes a jigsaw does generally work very well i just find this simpler and quicker about 70% of the time
After the initial OMG, this has to be a piece of junk, (starting out with title bias), I came to a conclusion. I want one, it seems to cut better than I thought it would, it would be great for carving, plumbing, sheetrock, sure it's not for trim, but neither is a jig saw
@@blankymcalias1962 yeah, done a lot of scroll work with a jig saw, especially on arbors and gazebos. Never used one on trim, too much tear out, leads you to having more caulk than trim 😁
6:26 I often have the same problem when i use my full size chainsaw to make a dinning table. And don't me started on how much hassle i have with my table saw when i try and prune my apple tree. Stupid tools.
+J&J Bassing Yes! It's a chainsaw. But for the life of me I can't think of any practical application in which this would be the superior choice of tool. The tool who commented above me is too smart for me I guess.
@@blackopsy9 For those twiggy branches on the tree that are a bit too big for a hedge trimmer? Currently I have to get out the massive unwieldy tree loppers, this tool would be so much easier. Chainsaws are for gardening.
MaxHavoc69 - As a drywaller by trade I will say that there are probably applications where it can be somewhat useful, it would probably be far easier on the wrist for making lengthy cuts than a keyhole saw for say window cut-outs and such but for making holes for electrical boxes or lights or whatever there are already far better tools for that, cut-out saws aka rotary saws/tools. With those you can put a sheet of drywall over a box/receptacle and then plunge the bit in and 'trace' around the outside of the box quick and easy and have it perfectly fit the box with no need to fix anything, I don't see that being possible with this kind of saw as you'd have to pull the blade out and turn it for each side or end up with big over-cuts to fix after. Could be useful for an electrician retrofitting a box receptacle into existing drywall or something like that making a square hole but that's about it, for round or hex lights they usually just use a standard hole-saw on a drill that is very quick and easy.
I understand that you dislike it, perhaps because you used it in a less than ideal way. Furthermore, the version you have is the weakest one available and it belongs to the "Home and Garden Series"
Complaining about tear out with a chainsaw, I have a £1100husqvarna saw with a £70 chain and I use the best fuel I can find, it’s a beautiful saw, but you know, I still get tear out... no it can’t be due to the fact that it has 5mm gullets on the chain, or the fact it’s a 2 stroke, not running at 3500 rpm like a high quality bl dc motor, no it must be that god awful low quality Swedish engineering thank you for opening my eyes, I was wondering why my foray into cabinet making wasn’t going too well I thought chainsaws were precision woodworking tools
This is not for precision cutting wood! This is for cutting off or through, materials in tough to reach places. You know how valuable this tool is to a plumber that has to saw through pipes in tight places? It can easily cut down an hour of his labor from a job. It is a mini chainsaw. Why don't you review a chainsaw and how horrible it is to build kitchen cabinets...come on!
Bosch's advertising makes no mention of cutting pipes. It does show a lady cutting through plywood and branches. Also what kind of pipe do you cut through with a chainsaw? especially in a hard to reach place you'd spend forever trying to get the edge clean enough to do anything with. A hackzall with the right blade is about the same size and cuts faster, cleaner, better. It even cuts metal pipe.
Cody, you failed on this one. That tool is great when given the right application. I agree with you that the Bosch greenline is basically junk, but that being said this tool DOES have its uses. We are American missionaries currently serving in Europe. We served for 10 years in Siberia, so we have had our fair share of "stories"! Our current building is over 100 years old and made out of logs, like a cabin. Now this is a 2 story building in the center of the capital city. Nobody would know that it is made out of logs just by looking at it. Years ago (Soviet time, pre-sheetrock/drywall days) they decided to sheet the interior and used a very fine-grain 16mm, oh, sorry, 5/8" particle boards. Try installing an electrical socket. With this tool, you just plunge it in and cut out the shape. Easy peasy. They sell for around $100 here. They also FLY through drywall. So NOT useless, but eclectic.
@Frank Wilson If you have the Space to storage all these items, yes. If you dont have a full workshop in your basement, but just a small Toollocker, then no.
I'm actually quite happy with my Bosch greenline tools, they're good value for hobbyists that don't really have the budget for the blueline. I have a circular saw, table saw and jigsaw and they all work great. The saw in this video is just weird though.
For a little over 100 you can get a 20v multi tool and buy a square plug box blade they make for them. Will look like factory cut and you have a multi tool that will do plunge cuts better.
When I was an apprentice we used Bosch SDS drills all the time, they worked no matter the conditions and got lots of abuse. No idea how good or bad they are nowadays.
IMO, dumb review for a tool that was never intended for anything but small, fast, and dirty cutting. BTW, the worst tool ever made is anything with WORX stamped on it...
but it's not good at non-precision work either... And when you compare it to an 18v sawzall or hackzall or even oscillating saw if you need plunge cuts. They are cheaper, cut faster, can be used for precision cuts, can cut metal, wood and tile with cheap easy to procure blades
Lol I know right. He even says " imagine doing precise work with this" well it's not made for that!! It's made for rough work where cuts are hidden....Not precise finish work.
@S F hey man you're preaching to the choir. I wouldn't ever buy one to replace my sawzall or my jigsaw but all I'm saying is I know I could make use out of it. Might come in handy at some point for quick rough cuts or plunge cuts. I dunno. I just think he was trying to make it fail. I would find some uses out of it. Now would I buy one? Nope.....
like you can see in the comment section already.. every tool can only be as good as the user. if you rip through that wood with any jigsaw like that, it doesn't matter where the tool was made, because you operate it like a kid that demonstrates to his parents, why his old toys are meh so it gets new ones. what's next? a video inwhich you complain about a fork not catching soup? or maybe a butter knife that's really not suited for opening cans? this channel has some parody potential i wouldn't had dreamed of.
First off! Big supporter of the channel, watch every video you put out! This has kind of angered me slightly! Yes it’s a rubbish tool for the applications you tried it against, and yes for a completely able bodied person who has access to a plethora of tools. But what about a little old lady wanting to do some small minor pruning who doesn’t have the strength to lop or saw, it’s something I’d seriously consider buying for my grandmother! Your complete disregard for who this product may be good for and showing it that light has “triggered” me! Not going to unsubscribe or anything like that, just know that whilst this tool is terrible for you and what you want to do, it is perfect for some! And I hope you see this
a grown man with a lot of strength was pushing down on the mini saw, it still cut slowly. do you know how long a old lady would have to sit there for it to cut through even a 2 inch branch.... even with out pushing down on a normal saw you can cut a 2 inch branch in less then 5 seconds. 200$ isn't worth it, 100$ isn't worth it, even 50$ isn't worth it. a simple hand saw does a far better job even for a old lady. she could hire someone for 20$ a hour to trim everything for her and still be better off! gardening scissors is best for pruning, you don't need a pocket chain saw. gardening scissors are very sharp and thus don't require a lot of strength to use. the mini blade is pretty cool but it just isn't powerful enough to do anything reasonable with it.

The easy cut series was gardenening tools, this was marketed at cutting small branches, rose bushes etc. Therefore it was for people that couldn't use cutters.

@KCarch25 Unkown don't need to, I have real tools
Now it kind of makes sense why this exists.
I have the 18V version (this one is 12V) for exactly this reason, going through tree branches that are too big for manual shears. For that purpose I find it fantastic.
Did you see how long it took to get through a thick stick with the mini chainsaw?
It was designed for tiny lumberjacks working in bonsai forests.
Ha ha, worst thing is you want a sharp pruning blade for bonsai to reduce scarring. So those tiny lumberjacks could only use this for felling the tiny trees!
What is this? A chainsaw for ANTS?

I get that Solus Shop only wanted to see the bright side, but I'd say there isn't one
remember this is a $200 tool. you can get a 20v dewalt oscillating saw for $99. those are fantastic for garden work compared to this.

Elderly people or peope that are too weak for a handsaw.
Thats is! Definitely no precision tool.

Or to crush carton boxes for recycling.
And you know what, it does the job very well for these things.
Not more and not less!
Absolutely. Wrangletstar is a BLUE Bosch kind of guy who perhaps didn't realize there is a green Bosch...

Bosch themselves recommended that in their instructional video.
It's junk.

best for boxes
Your v stinks
well they want 140€ for it on their own website^^
On amazon UK it is 109 pounds. That is like 140 dollars.

Rotozip is the right for outlet cutouts. Or just a hand drywall saw.
Also if you can't cut a half decent hole with a $10-15 stab drywall saw, you have no business doing anything handy.
nikora ehu-kiripatea listen man I don’t expect anything from the wranglerstar family. I just think it deserves a FAIR review. That’s all

This is the best tool ever made.
It looks like it was designed for a pap smear...but it's not stainless.
Me a complete non-woodworking Normy: It’s not that bad...?
It functions, but it's worthless. A jigsaw is more precise, easier to handle, safer, faster AND cheaper. The only thing it has over the jigsaw is the ability to plunge-cut. If you need a plunge-cutter, though, just get an oscillating saw.
One might argue you would be cheaper off getting one of these instead of both of those. Sure. Until the saw needs to be replaced.
Meanwhile, for forestry, any other tool performs better and costs less.
There's no point to owning one of these. None.
It's meant as a garden tool for old/disabled people that lack strength to make use of garden shears.

not so great in wood but for installing electrical boxes in remodels mine has become indispensable. cuts the sheetrock far cleaner than any of the hundreds of punch saws i have used,
Cory ramsey I agree I have one also an use it for similar things I cross.

@@blackopsy9 For those twiggy branches on the tree that are a bit too big for a hedge trimmer? Currently I have to get out the massive unwieldy tree loppers, this tool would be so much easier. Chainsaws are for gardening.
What about cutting holes in drywall?
An electrician mate uses it for just that👍🏼 He reckons it's sped up his final fit work hell of a lot.

Also what kind of pipe do you cut through with a chainsaw? especially in a hard to reach place you'd spend forever trying to get the edge clean enough to do anything with.
If you dont have a full workshop in your basement, but just a small Toollocker, then no.

like you can see in the comment section already.. every tool can only be as good as the user. if you rip through that wood with any jigsaw like that, it doesn't matter where the tool was made, because you operate it like a kid that demonstrates to his parents, why his old toys are meh so it gets new ones. what's next? a video inwhich you complain about a fork not catching soup? or maybe a butter knife that's really not suited for opening cans? this channel has some parody potential i wouldn't had dreamed of.

Petros Triantafillidis looked like he did exactly what they show in the promotional material so, don’t use the tool for what it was shown to be made for?
How else would you use it ?
@@cosmicsailor5015 I'm pretty sure he uses way too much pressure
@@NLXtrem not sure , it may be the case , but even so it's still a useless tool.
Are you certain that it's not for cutting drywall or PVC pipe?
Maxwell Edison it is intended for wood and pvc . In the pictures Bosch released of this tool there is a man cuttign pipe
Its plywood man. Use painter's tape to get a clean cut. It cut very well and served its purpose. Much like the grizzly socket, I believe this review has come back to bite ya. I'd take it over a hand saw any day.
