I met The colonel in the early 70s. I was 6 to 10 years old. He spoke to my father while we waited for our order. He asked me what was my favorite dish. I said the coleslaw and he whispered, "Mine too." But don't tell anybody because I am supposed to say the chicken. 😅 I believe he gave me a quarter that I spent in the bubble gum machine. I would not dare ask him for his autograph. My father would have said "don't be rude!" He considered it to be rude. To ask for autographs unless they are signing in public. The colonel would have given one if had asked but my father would have been disappointed with me. He did give my father the recipe for his chicken. I don't know what daddy did with it. He certainly never cooked it. He bought me a coke and gave it to me. He asked if my dad minded if he did. He asked the cashier/cook/dishwasher. Was he trying to make these good people wait or did he need help. He explained to the colonel that he was the only one there that night. He hung his jacket up and went to the back. Rolled his sleeves up and told the guy. All you needed to do was ask. He said you wash dishes and wait on customers. I'll do the cooking. The colonel cooked our order and gave me a family sized coleslaw. He told the guy I'll settle up come closing time. We left the store he handed me a spoon with the coleslaw. You have something to snack on for the ride home young man. Telling my dad get sodas from the cooler for the family. On me tonight. That was in Phenix city Alabama.
I worked at Popeyes fried chicken and there was another nigro that worked there before I did. The restaurant had a big pot for mixing something. It had a electric motor and a blade that screwed to a shaft. 1 day I asked the nigro what it was for? He said: Mixing Cole Slaw. I'd never made any before ever in my life. One day the manager told me to go make some Cole Slaw. I did it the assumingly way. Screwed the blade to the shaft. Put the ingredients in the pot and turned it on. Went back up to the front of the store. They were all laughing and having a good time. And I like to laugh and make Jokes. Then she said: I thought I told you to go make some Cole Slaw! And I said: That's what I'm making. At about 3000 RPMs. It was like watery Rabbit food. Taste like Cole Slaw soup.

@@s.p.8870 • 1 John 1:9 (NKJV): “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” This verse assures that God is always ready to forgive when we sincerely confess our sins. • Psalm 103:12 (NKJV): “As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” This shows the completeness of God’s forgiveness, removing our sins entirely. • Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV): “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.” God extends an open invitation to forgiveness, cleansing even the deepest sins. @@mmsk2010 "all have sinned" incapsulates all of humanity. "For all sin" is more present tense.
@@mmsk2010 my belief is that you did sin before you were born, from the insurrection in heaven. and even soo you are fundamentally a sinner from the start being born into flesh. the flesh is sin.. the flesh from start is open to sin.. the verse all have sinned is not a typo it is 100% accurate..

he was also a slave owner!

Always been a hero of mine. That one can move from rags to riches even in later life. (always hope) Discovering him a Christian is a cherry on top.
Sorry, but Christians do not belong to societies with secrets.
Nowadays the world says you gotta be rich before a certain age and not just content with what God has given you
@@bironjames9948 When I was younger, I was content with worldly goods, now that I'm older I'm way more content with my Spiritual gifts from God.
I met The colonel in the early 70s. I was 6 to 10 years old. He spoke to my father while we waited for our order. He asked me what was my favorite dish. I said the coleslaw and he whispered, "Mine too."
But don't tell anybody because I am supposed to say the chicken. 😅
I believe he gave me a quarter that I spent in the bubble gum machine.
That was in Phenix city Alabama.
solid 🥰
It takes great humility to publicly admit to sin. Nice to know Sanders loved the LORD.
God bless him! Meet ya by the river, Colonel!
This man is loved by Japan
Any particular reason other than delicious chicken?
Hallelujah. Amazing moments. I got to shake his hand in church. David's I mean. This was about 35 years ago and I'll never forget the warmth and kind smile of this man. May God bless them both and everyone else reading this. It's 11:11 and still Thanksgiving day here in Canada
Its amazing to see the real person instead of just the picture on the store.

Amazing faith! Truly inspiring.

If he went to any KFC today, he would close them ALL down. They do not live up to his standards even a little. It even tastes different Im 63 it tastes nothing like it did in the 60s and 70s, God Rest his soul.
may lord bless Salvation Army and use for his glory
SALvation army eats their long term workers and splits them away penniless if they have a situation, such as health issue and cannot work until the full years for KFC retirement requirements for monthly benefits post retirement.
I live in Kentucky. I still remember as a kindergarten kid back in 1980, hearing about Colonel Sanders' passing on the radio. It was almost like our governor had died. Col. Sanders was one-of-a-kind!
Stay on your guard when you have a bad habit because you are liable to fall back into it. Amen, you’re gone but your message lives on.
So true
Can anyone picture Colonel Sanders road raging with another fellow motorist? 🤣🤣🤣 That is GOLD! Hardly anyone these days possesses the self control and/or values that the generations that are no longer with us had.
Wonderful, godly and humble man.

Thank god he came forward with this!
We cant be perfect...and when we fall short he desires to forgive us
That's actually a lie from hell. God said be ye perfect as I am perfect.
Confess and forsake your son.
Go and sin no more!
Whoever loves me , obeys my teachings, and I will dwell with him and he with me.
Abide in Him, a part from a him you can do nothing.
That's a lie from hell. The scripture says be perfect as your father in heaven. Heaven is perfect and the scripture also says that go and sin no more. That's what Jesus told the man after he healed them. That's the worst thing come upon you.
To scripture also says those who love me obey my word.
@@s.p.8870 • 1 John 1:9 (NKJV):
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
This verse assures that God is always ready to forgive when we sincerely confess our sins.
• Psalm 103:12 (NKJV):
“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.”
This shows the completeness of God’s forgiveness, removing our sins entirely.
• Isaiah 1:18 (NKJV):
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”
God extends an open invitation to forgiveness, cleansing even the deepest sins.
These verses highlight God’s grace and His readiness to forgive those who turn to Him with a sincere heart.
We love the Colonel. God bless him.
When the Colonel lived outside Toronto in the early 70's, my father-in-law would see him at the bus stop. in the mornings. Apparently, in spite of all his money, he walked a lot and took the bus into work!

@@rhuxley5130 lol. Some of us don’t actually work the idea. 💡 we just dream. He did not just dream. 💭 this is the difference in your observations of man.
@@peacefulpear8 what do you think his righteousness means? If you or mankind did not know it would it be something you would assist yourself us on seeking? I mean you stated the same quote. It would appear to be obvious that the quote matters to you. But the substance of righteousness itself. That which one could possibly attempt to seek out if they knew it. Or encourage others to seek it out as well. Would you spend a moment do consider that if you had the opportunity. I ask because if I am write no man can identify it yet. With the exception of about five. 5️⃣ some dead. Some alive. Then there are some who copied there content. But don’t truly know know it or have marketed it seriously. Let me know what you think defines righteousness if you like. Then u will tell you what I think defines it. And if you like perhaps we can cooperate. But most likely the odds are very much stacked against us. Ad once again the five that I know of that published this great law of liberty did so alone with the exception of one husband and wife in 2002 who tried. The only reason I took the time to break down to you this question which had not been addressed or revealed for our generation at least is because it matters to me your quote. I hope it does for you as well to not pass off my reply.
God bless Col. Sanders memory. He knew that sin, no matter how small, is enough to keep a person out of heaven. It can be a mean thought. It’s still a blemish that keeps an unsaved person from salvation. I wish everyone knew this. There are no good people, only the saved and unsaved.

His humility and love for Gods commandments is what madevhim successful I believe
Love this. I grew up in Texas eating KFC with my family after church many Sundays. We would typically get it to go and spread it out on my grandmother's table and feast. As child, I always associated his KFC image with what God might look like. Lol. Just an innocent child that associated Sunday church with Colonel Sanders image. So this video is heartwarming for me to see.
Breath of fresh air. Most of the principles he speaks of are not followed nowadays. I pay tithe, and I am blessed more than it cost me
