Having owned this bike for about two years, I thought it was time for a review. The Cafe Racer sets itself apart quite a bit from the other Ducati Scrambler models without actually having a different engine or sophisticated suspension. It's the looks for sure, but the handling difference is quite notable too. And there is more, but I don't want to spoil the whole video in the description ;)

Check out my latest one - a review of the mighty Ducati 998, the most refined of the 916 series 😍 ua-cam.com/video/hFim0pFhRu0/v-deo.html

I’m a sportbike guy but love the looks of these. I think they’d be a lot of fun in the city too. Plus your out takes we good.

Agreed, between the two paint jobs the coffee black is the best! suspension can be modded with Andreany or öhlin inserts for forks and öhlin rear shock :)
      the rest is amazing

I have just had a 2020 model delivered today. My first impressions, at 6'-0", 1.8m tall, I felt like a frog sitting on a small rock, my left hip was begging for mercy after an hour! The bike is designed for small men and women, Imo. The seat is very hard, as you mention yourself.
What I liked was the character of the bike, it brakes very well, handles nicely, and has plenty power for an old fella like me. It also looks amazing in both the brown gold older model, and newer ice blue and silver, but the wire wheels look more "cafe racer" on the newer model, perhaps?
I think, my first mod will be an adjustable foot peg.......even 25mm will help ease my knees and legs. I really think Ducati should have made the bike bigger for the average rider, and not as it is, to suit smaller men/women.

Good point about the wheels! I remember how awesome these things look on MV's Dragster RR. I guess I'm a bit used to being tortured as a tall rider. I had an 899 Panigale and a 998 before and they were not exactly huge or comfortable either 😁 But indeed, that seat is almost weirdly uncomfortable... But hey, it looks and sounds and handles!

Great video! Have you experienced excessive heat in slow traffic? I have heard it mentioned elsewhere and am concerned it might be a real problem for commuting in warmer climates like Sydney Australia.

Thank you! Yes, the bike does produce quite a bit of heat in slow traffic because the engine is air-cooled. On the other hand, its handling should be great for commuting. Can you test-ride it somewhere? That should help with the decision-making.

how is the bike for a tall rider 1,83 m. ?

Well, let me put it this way: Do you know these huge horses which you can hardly get on top of? This is the exact opposite of that 😁 I'm 1m90 myself and it doesn't bother me, but this bike certainly wasn't made primarily for tall people.
