Company loyalty is a scam. If they’re not putting you in position to grow (in skill AND salary), it’s a dead end. And personally I don’t feel bad for abandoning the CEO and the ‘team’ for new opportunities or even just more peace of mind in minimalism and self enjoyment.
A MAIN cheat code is to either stay with family or have roommates to cut the biggest expense, rent, by a large percentage. Way easier to save money to invest or start your own source of income when you’re spending maybe $300-$500 a month with roommates vs $1,100-1,350 a month for your own 600 sq ft 1 bedroom apartment. And that’s in affordable southern and midwestern cities, I couldn’t imagine Florida, NYC, or West coast rent prices.
I agree we need faith in the future. My problem is -- I don't want hope that I'll be rich... I want hope that myself and my children can live a happy and balanced life before we leave this mortal coil to the next generations... It seems that is sacrilege in the face of the Almighty Dollar!
I totally agree with what you said and I like how you put it! Most people who are employed are totally being exploited! Self employment, if you can make it work is where it’s at, especially if you can scale!
If you don't build more skills that demand a higher income then you will be a constant recipient of what other people want to give you. Which is the bear minimum. You have to trade what you know for money. Never trade just your time for money you will always receive the bear minimum.
Its important to realize that it isn't money you're working for. It's paper notes, the ghost of money. Some people can conjure the stuff from nothing, and you're trying to get ahead by giving them your effort in exchange for their increasingly hollow promises. I realize people don't want to confront such a massive problem, but if you don't, you'll just suffer for the rest of your life. Demand real value for the value you are supplying. Or stop playing the clearly crooked game which has been set at your feet.
Midevil peasants had 150 days off in a year even working from sun up to sun down they worked less overall. Imagine having enough time to actually raise your kids
You can always do vanlife, or couch surf while saving in indexfunds while working hard a few years to get on top of everything. Geoarbitrage etc. and do dogwalking or some other sidehustle on freetime to get som excercise in. But i agree, todays system is f'ed up

Companies have NO loyalty to their employees anymore, so why should employees be loyal?
Their homes are getting bigger, their cars are getting more expensive, but you're running in place.

Thank you for making this video. There aren't many people willing to state these facts that you are analyzing.

But Time is all I have and only a finite amount. Sacrificing our limited time on this earth should be enough.
