    It's way more interesting seeing you quickly and crudely mess with different pedals and combos because that's closer to how us peasants work. No point seeing the perfect tone with a single pedal when it's going to sit on a pedal board anyways! Nice one.

    Love the content. Why Boss oc-5 never made it to your main pedalboard? You said that it was gonna replace your beloved POG and it did not.

    • @LuxTheSlav
      @LuxTheSlav 2 роки тому

      Because Boss sponsored that video/ad and the POG is better.

      @@LuxTheSlavAs far as I know, Rabea never says such a thing, even in a sponsored video, if he doesn't really mean it. He might like the thing anyway, but if he says that it is going on a pedalboard it usually means exactly that or at least that he is seriously considering it...so now I want to know what happened and why it is not a consideration anymore

    Very VERY excited for this series! Already watched EP 2. Exploring pedal combos and for some of us, discovering pedals/sounds we've never heard before. I hope this series keeps going :)

    Great stuff mate, love this idea as a new content format. Feels a bit more accessible to the bedroom players who are messing around with our boards. Seeing/hearing different pedals stacked in all sorts of combinations is so interesting for me to watch, sometimes you get a bit over the tedium of constantly rearranging things yourself to see what happens and it’s nice for someone else to do the work for a change! Also really cool to see what a different type of pedal I may not have or be using can add to the sound. And love your playing as always man, you’ll always be one of my favourite guitarists to listen to!

    Hey Bea! You are a huge inspiration to me and your music fills me with so much joy, can't thank you enough!
    I myself am having issues with capturing inspiration. Lately I've been just playing guitar and really loving whatever comes to me on the spot, but recording and developing the ideas seems imposible.
    I feel I'm used to a certain way of writing and recording, jamming away until I get a great but rough riff and developing it and making sections around it.
    But that way of writing seem to fight agains me when the inspiring jam is more "ambient" or softer. Trying to catch that moment seems imposible, and if somehow after been recording for hours I manage to grab it, it's very difficult to add programed drums since it's not played to a click, and it's hard to add anything really. It's been very frustrating, trying to come up with a workflow that works.
    Do you have any suggestions that might help me? How do you go about writing a more ambient song?
    Thanks a lot even if you never read this.

    So actually the OC-5 hasn’t replaced the POG on the mainboard?

    • @RabeaMassaad
      @RabeaMassaad  2 роки тому

      No, after using it for a month or so back with Toska. As great as it is, I couldn’t get my heavy octave tone to sound the same. The OC-5 and the POG have their own ‘Tone’ with the octave and I’m just way more used to the POG sound.
      What’s funny is if I want to do the Nuno Bettencourt style funky octave stuff or generally anything funk vibed, the OC5 wins.
      But if I want a fat riff to be backed up by a bold octave below. For me, POG takes it

    • @gabibartok4544
      @gabibartok4544 2 роки тому

      @@RabeaMassaad thank you for the reply. i have switched from POG to OC-5 because that range knob was super tempting. and it sounds good, dont get me wrong but what i have experienced is that compared to the POG, the oc-5 sounds a bit dull/dead. By many users the POG has a "metallic" sound. Well, however we call it, i think in a mid-high gain environment, the POG sounds more pronounced.

    • @RabeaMassaad
      @RabeaMassaad  2 роки тому +1

      @@gabibartok4544 that’s it, it’s got a more pronounced sound I think, it’s bold and so when playing riffs it really sounds nice and thick. I’ve found a lot of other great applications for the OC5 tone wise, but yeah, for the big riffs the POG is going a great job
