Emigrated 45 yrs ago, love this stuff. Anybody remember the old pubs in the area, muscular arms, the blue chip, the exchange, the vale, the ivanhoe, great memories 😂
Don’t know any of those pubs. The old pubs are kinda moving on now..demolished for coffee shops and fancy things. This footage looks a bit like New York in the rain.
Yea, the blue chip was where urban outfitters is now, the exchange was where molly malone is now and the vale was next door to dows, just shows my age probably 😂
My husband and I met in the Muscular Arms 50 years ago. Amazing decor there and in the Single End upstairs 😊. We remember the others but not so fondly.

This is much needed for people who have never experienced an ounce of peace and quiet in their lives. This is what I imagine living alone in a cabin out in the wilderness would feel like. Pure tranquility.
Definetly. Just shows it wasn't one downpour that flooded the pitch, it had been like that for most of the afternoon too. Amazing the game even started tbh. Not complaining tho. 🤣
What this video isn't really able to show is the 3 weeks prior to this where Scotland had next to no rain and sometimes overnight temperatures of over 20°C, the grass in many gardens had turned yellow because it was so dry. The rain was badly needed. Unfortunate though for anyone unlucky to be on their holidays.
Not just you! Glasgow has often served as an American film location, Indian Jones NY scenes were filmed there, dunno why they didn't film it actual NYC but hey ho.
Its nice to see the old place again. Looks great in the rain. It brings back so many memories. 😁😁
I love the Scots still sitting outside in the rain!! Lovely wee wet walk
Girl dancing in the rain on Buchanan St. makes Glasgow smiles better.
God bless you , you must of been glad when you got home , wouldn’t be Scotland without the rain ☔️
❤

Love seeing past Queen Street Station up to what was once my home at 99 Dundas St
What kind of a camera is used in filming?

Night of the Scotland v Georgia match I'm guessing. Absolutely bouncing.

Good luck the Scots.
Is it only me but sometimes Glasgow City reminds me of New York City…
Same architecture and gross layout the tenements are similar to the brownstones
