80 million dollars spent to complete filming then the whole movie was scrapped as a tax right off, it needed another 80 million at least for post production/special effects Cgi etc....then more millions for the marketing, such a shame we won't get to see Glasgow doublingfor Gotham in the movie.

The release of this movie still would make more money today than destroying it. Maybe they should make some extra scenes with Michael Keaton and change the script, because of his success with Beetlejuice 2.

Sunny Go-van! Unlike the naysayers I think this bridge was money well spent and will have a positive effect on Govan. If it brings in people for the shops and pubs then I think that is a good thing. While Byres Rd has gone downhill a bit (imho) the transformation of Partick has been something to behold. For good or bad this gentrification will spread to Govan now as well. I know this sounds insane because it's just a foot bridge but as a tourist in Glasgow it's a no-brainer now to walk over to the Govan Stones and the GU are building here so others will follow.

Complete waste of money. The bridge will break down soon same as the tower upstream which can hardly rotate! I don't want to walk on it and end up in the deep river Clyde. Can't even fix the lifts at partickhill railway station 😊!

What needs to happen is Congress needs to close the loophole they are exploiting. When a business has too much income, the IRS allows them to buy equipment or property and expense (depreciate) it all in the same year to lower their income. This was never meant for the film industry. Movies are intangible assets. You're not supposed to depreciate them like tangible assets such as a photocopier or a building. The problem is the section of IRS code they are exploiting only says assets. If they would just insert the word "tangible", then this practice would stop. If you can't make money off the movie because of the deduction, then fine, just give it away. Put it on UA-cam.
