Love All THAT YOUNG FOLKS ARE VISTING MY YEARS. YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL... IS A GOOD ONE.. YOUR SUCH GOOD HEARTED SOUL AND BRING THAT LITTLE GIRL ON ANYTIME. LOVE TO ALL..💞💞💞
I saw Joe Cocker in 1978 at the first Tampa Jam music festival. He headlined and some of the opening acts were Alvin Lee and 10 Years After, Black Oak Arkansas, Wet Willie, and 5 or 6 other bands and I saw him again in 1990 in Atlanta with Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King, and a couple more bands . IT WAS INCREDIBLE !!!
I was at that show in Atlanta, too. It was billed as the Benson & Hedges Blues Festival, with Irma Thomas, Dr. John, Joe Cocker, BB King & Stevie Ray Vaughan. One of the greatest concert experiences I've ever had.
Great reaction Adogg! Other great songs by Cocker include "You can leave your hat on," "The Letter", "High Time We Went." "Cry Me a River," " Don't Let me be misunderstood" and his duet with Jennifer Warnes "Up Where We Belong"
I saw Joe play live in the Tarrant County Convention Center in Fort Worth, TX... a long time ago. There were about 14,000 of us crammed into the venue. Of course, I didn't get to meet him, but the show was just like what you see here. Joe and his band putting it all out on stage for us to love. In the late 70s and early 80s, going to concerts was normal entertainment. I'm sure I averaged about 50 events per year. Joe Cocker was definitely one of the better performances I was blessed to witness.
I saw him open in Kansas City for Steve Miller shortly before he died. I had my 18 year old granddaughter with me& she loved him. She had never heard of him, of course. I’m glad I got to give her the experience.
Oh my! Have I ever been to a Joe Cocker concert? I was fortunate to spend my teen years in Detroit (Motown) and Mr. Cocker along with so many now very famous musicians was a staple in that time, late 60's. I'm not even sure how many times I got to see him and so many others at one of two venues. 1. The Grande Ballroom in downtown Detroit and a place just north of Pontiac Michigan called Silverbell (It was an old ski lodge turned into a teen nightclub) Joe played there many times along with Amboy Dukes (Ted Nugent) Bob Seger, Alice Cooper, Mr. BB KING himself, were all regulars or semi-regulars at venues in the area that probably at the most would hold 500 people. Fleetwood Mac, Savage Grace...the list is incredible. What is so crazy was to us kids they were just the bands we got to listen to, it was just a regular thing we all did. Little did we know at the time we were witnessing some of the greatest musical talent that would ever walk the planet. This was when all the musicians had were their instruments, their voices along with amps and microphones. It was raw and it was REAL. How REAL was it? That is evidenced by how even today the songs of that era still move the spirit, the very soul of anyone who hears them. I truly feel blessed to have had the experiences I did and just wish everyone could have them today.
I always loved Joe Cocker, phenomenal voice, humble human being, i mean..he did rock Woodstock, what more needed? Used to listen alot to his songs as a kid, together with my dad. Greatest memories. Thank you♡
Yes, Yes, Yes. This man is the real deal. His band is $hit ass wired tight. Been a fan since 1967. Ranks up with the best. Love how you keep the beat. That's just primal with Joe'ts music. He gave great concerts.
There will never be another Joe Cocker, his voice was amazing and to hear he was #97 on Rolling Stones 100 best voices of all time shocked me. When I heard his version of When A Man Loves A Woman gave me chills, I think every song Joe Cocker sang he made it his own. When you ask people who sings You Are So Beautiful alot of people don't know it's a Billy Preston cover and will say Joe Cocker, when you ask about With A Little Help From My Friends again some people don't know it's a Beatles cover, Unchain My Heart is a Ray Charles cover and Joe Cocker performs it with Ray Charles is awesome. I love your reactions, I started watching you when I used to watch Nukes Top 5 and other scary videos and me being a huge Stevie Ray Vaughan fan I saw this channel and I love it. I've been watching reaction videos for 3 yrs and have never subscribed to anyone but 1 but now I have to subscribed to yours because you do alot of music from my generation, I was born in 1960 so my teen yrs were 1970 best music ever made. Keep up the amazing work.
Saw Joe 3 times, wish it could have been more. He was always great, a soul singer, put everything he had into a performance. Hitchcock Railway is a great song, along with When the Night Comes.
Check out "You Can Leave Your Hat on" live at Dortmund 1992 is an awesome tune by Joe and the Sax solo by Derek Dyer in this song is one of the best I've heard...
You Can Leave Your Hat On. Please Flailing his arms about, and playing air guitar, became a standard trademark in early Cocker performances. Many assumed he must have been either stoned, or crazy. Actually, it was just his way of feeling the music.
Saw him about a year before he passed iat "The Stir Cove" at Harrah's Casino in Council Bluff, IA. He played ALL of his hits. His band was unbeliveable and he was GREAT.
Great reaction! I saw Joe at the Macon Coliseum when "You Are So Beautiful" was at the top of the charts. He was so drunk, he was lying on his back near the end. He could still sing circles around most everybody else. I then saw him in 1990 at the Benson & Hedges Blues Festival in Atlanta with Irma Thomas, Dr. John, BB King & Stevie Ray Vaughan. The "Mad Dogs & Englishmen" album is phenomenal with the great Leon Russell conducting.
Of course, this man is legendary and one of the GOAT’s. I really enjoy your channel because you have a real appreciation for great music. The amount of legendary artists ,both black and white, from this time period, is astonishing.
Hey Adogg. I have been watching many of your reactions. I love it. I think it is great that you are interested in listening to all kinds of different music. A lot of people never really do that, and I know that you agree with me...they are missing out! Since you really enjoyed The Righteous Brothers and Elvis, please do me a favor and listen to 'Only You' by The Platters! You will just melt at that voice!...and will most likely listen to it at least 5 more times that day! I would really like to see your reaction to it. It truly is one of the most beautiful songs in the world!
Hey ADogg....Also in the 70s I graduated HS in 1975. Watched him at the Royal Oak Music Hall. old Royal Oak Theater was a very small theater. in Michigan. he was Fantastic.
He was so amazing. Took me very down when he died. I'd recommend the 2 songs I love the most of him: When the night comes and (probably his calmest song) "N'oubliez jamais".
Such a great song!! My dad always did an amazing impression of him, when I was very young, I'd worry about him with the spasms in acting like him lmao I'd highly recommend his song " You Can Leave Your Hat On" the video features a lot of clips from a very spicy flick called 9-1/2 Weeks from what I remember -the official vid might be different. Great horns, great song, you'll love it for sure! Thanks as always!♥️✌
Love Joe Cocker! Adogg, do you or does anybody else see the Redd Fox (Fred Sanford) "Elizabeth, I'm coming to join you honey!" similarity? Looks the same, sounds the same, gestures the same. I enjoy your reactions...(and your accent).
I saw Joe Cocker in concert in 1969. I didn't know who he was at the time because he was pretty much unknown then. Nevertheless, he blew my mind. He just grabs you. It was amazing.
W henI was growing up our best friends were a black family th as t lived on the same street. They taught us to dance and we all had so much fun together. I fell in love blk american music and loveit to this day. I remember all their names and faces. Great family, great friends. Bernie

Guess it was back in 1998 or something like this!? o_O And yes, I talked with him - great guy! ♥ P.S.: You aked for another song: Try "Night Calls" or "n'oubliez jamais" < yeah, give that one a try! ♥♥♥ "n'oubliez jamais" might be one of my very favs of him!
Loooove Joe Cocker, I'm a great fan. Have you listened to Meatloaf - Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad, Paradise By The Dashboard Light, I'd Do Anything For Love. There's a few more. Meatloaf's performances are quite theatrical.
Try 'you can keep your hat on" - as you seem to know the best pop/rock music was written from mid-sixties to late 80's. One epiphany after another, now it's more like one every 6 months or none at all

Envious you were so close right up to the stage. Still rockin' even at my age.
You where blessed.🙏🏼
Great reaction Adogg! Other great songs by Cocker include "You can leave your hat on," "The Letter", "High Time We Went." "Cry Me a River," " Don't Let me be misunderstood" and his duet with Jennifer Warnes "Up Where We Belong"
This is a great play list. It tickles me to watch you react to this music.
All of the above, though I'm a bit partial to "Cry Me a River".
PS: He always had great bands.
RIP Joe. You are sorely missed.
Agreed! This is my favorite too!
Night Calls, You Can Leave Your Hat On, Now That The Magic Is Gone. Anything really! Loved your reaction!

Seen him twice. Sold out out both times. His stage persona and passion are fabulous and his band is flippin' perfect!
That's right - it's the music he's feeling in his body that makes him move - not some disability! Oh Joe. He's the one of a kind guy!
I always loved Joe Cocker, phenomenal voice, humble human being, i mean..he did rock Woodstock, what more needed? Used to listen alot to his songs as a kid, together with my dad. Greatest memories. Thank you♡
First time I seen him was Woodstock. the man is great!
I was there, He's another world!
Try cry Me a River off the mad dogs and Englishmen album. Another great song.

I think it is a crime that he is not in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
I think that it's so sad that as amazing as his vocals and talent were he was so underrated and not recognized for his greatness.
Rolling stone is a Fuckn joke period.
Cocker is THE MAN!
I saw Cocker in Spain in 93... One of my first concerts.... I miss him so much!!
Sectacular ! Thanx young sir.❤
Along with 14.000 other people, I saw Cocker at an outdoors concert in Trondheim, Norway in 1997. He just wiped the floor with everybody.

His cover of When Something Is Wrong with My Baby on the Mad Dogs album is incredible!

He only chose bkack female voices, because they fit so beautifully with his 🎉❤
