Keep handbags on lap. I know it’s uncomfortable, but after a family member had the same thing happen to her at a restaurant, lost cash, wallet, papers, jewelry and medication (they were traveling), I have maintained a heightened sense of security everywhere I go. Even at a fancy eatery. No safe places period!
Also keep an eye on your bag/purse when shopping. A friend of mine had a lot of cash and her wallet taken from her purse, which she’d placed in the area of the shopping cart where you normally sit a child.
One person distracted her and when she turned her back, the second person took the money and wallet.
It seems like she was followed from the bank after making a withdrawal.
Ladies - keep your bag on your shoulder at all times when out and about.

I see women at the super market all the time with their purse in the basket and they are 3-4ft away picking fruit or veggies or whatever. I want to yell at them but I never do
This is why I use a crossbody, zipped up & in front of me when I shop. I never put my bag in the shopping cart. But I see women do this all the time and walk away.

Facial recognition has been found to be very inaccurate. It doesn't work well at all.

@@mattbosley3531 I don't know where you live but here in the United States of America we have cameras everywhere watching .. I drive semi truck so I get a lot of places I know for a fact that most states have street cameras at intersections and highways and bissnesses everywhere so yes a criminal can be caught.. the government just has to look at the footage from all cameras and then the criminals movements are tracked down

I travel light and quit carrying a purse years ago. Just need my keys and a credit card ... everything else stays locked in my car.
