Hands down the most creative thing about Cammy's design is the tassels on her jacket. They're a perfect visual stand-in for her classic super long braids and they let her keep her identifiable silhouette while also massively changing up her outfit. Also I hope to all the gods above and below those gunshot sfx stay in the final game. It makes her look BRUTAL. Maybe more so than we've ever seen her before.

I just like that most of Lily's moveset is her adapting T. Hawk's moveset to her body proportions, like, her command grab is literally T. Hawk's, but while he just uses one arm to spin you around, she uses her entire body to make up for the muscle power. Many of her normals are the same as well, her double sweep, her aerial body slam.

When cammy did the assassination move she used in the anime movie, i recognized it immediately. It looks great recreated as an actual in game move. And it's cool to see that max recognized straight away as well.

I absolutely love how they even got the detail when Zangief is doing the body slam and he does a stomp when the opponent hits the ground, just like a real wrestler. This game is looking so insane.
i've recently started training as a pro wrestler and i can confirm that Zangief does a perfect body slam, hell, E Honda even does the correct posting that a person taking a body slam should take. They clearly actually looked at pro wrestlers for these animations.
The muscle animations on Gief is lit as hell. edit: Som'in I missed the first look, Cammy doesn't normally show any tummy muscles, but when she does a few attacks, they flex up and it's honestly sick detailing.
It's amazing how a more realistic change to Zangief's proportions somehow make him look even MORE massive than usual. Adding body fat allows, as Max says, for more prominence of the musculature when the characters put real effort into attacks.
So, outside of all the obvious things to say regarding Cammy and how inspirational she is, I really like how the leather belt attached to her jacket is like her signature braids. A really, really strong reimagining of the character, imo.
They really went Ultra Instinct on Cammy's design. An actual evolution of the character, while somehow hyperfocusing on making her BOTH extremely attractive and brutal. Like, in the past their designs very clearly leaned one way or the other, but now they decided to crank it to 11 on all aspects. And the animation, JESUS...yes this is thirsting, but look at 8:45 where she stretches. They added so many subtle animations of her legs, like what Max was talking about with the difference between fat and muscle. Shifts in stance too as she stretches. YES it's thirsting but it's also a genuine appreciate for how insanely well this is animated. Capcom really took the SF5 hate to heart and went beast mode on this game. I can FEEL the spite in how passionately they're working on this.
The more I look at Lily, she really looks like she could be a Monster Hunter character, complete with war clubs in place of dual blades. Also, damn the Android 18 vibes with Cammy are off the charts now. That design is...damn.

Zangief looks scary in this realistic version of the game, Lily is giving me Talim vibes and I kinda love it, and Cammy is hands down the best character out of all of them.
He has such stage presence and energy. It feels like he's just having fun and putting on a show of his strength for the audience. That is the aspect I love.
I dunno why but Cammy in SF6 somehow gives me a lot of Nina Williams vibe in her attitude. She seems like she's like a spy / executionner. Her Level 3 is her litterally execute her opponent with a swift kick. And we finally have Zangief doing actually wrestling. The theatric stomps, Clothesline, Scoop Slam, Elbow Drop, Mongolian Chop, Dragon Screw, Jackhammer... He has an insane Wrestling moveset like it's legit good.

A lot of the time, when you see amazingly muscular bodybuilders in competitions, they purposely dehydrate themselves, causing their skin to suck in and get tight around their muscles. It's disturbingly unhealthy, yet, Hollywood likes to pretend that's what peak fitness looks like.

I honestly think that Capcom has realized during the last few years that giving people fanservice is not only harmless, it also makes people love them more. Especially with other devs trying to turn away from it. That together with making actually good games, during the past few years with RE and MH and now this, I really hope they keep going.
Fanservice? In the way I often hear it used to mean "softcore porn" then I see little of that here. Character designs are good instead of fap bait like in really low quality fighting games. Though some of the camera angles are quite intimate if that's what you meant, in which case I see it done to every character evenly so it feels more natural to just the style of the game. And that is cool. In a more literal sense of doing things for the fans, it's insane that not every game is doing that, and that Mortal Kombat is the one that comes to mind as a game that did more for the fans. But yes SF6 feels like they're finally caring about what SF fans want. Probably because it's now being made by people that are SF fans themselves.
Pretty sure the original comment had nothing to do with Mortal Kombat changing up how the women look. Honestly, MK has been doing pretty great fanservice with the guest characters and stuff like the MK movie skin pack with voice acting. Capcom have been doing this fanservice for a while too, to be fair. It usually manifests as skin packs, background characters and the odd lines in endings in the SF series.
Zangief's transition to SF6 is so smooth that when you see him you just think "Yup that's Zangief". He looks so good. Of course Cammy is one sexy character, but damn Zangief looks incredible as well.

1. Me being a lifelong wrestling fan, Zangief having a Dragon Screw and a MF'n _Jackhammer_ on top of what he's already had for decades is mind-blowing to think about. 2. If what Max said about Gief's stage having CWA/Slam Masters wrestlers in the back is correct, there's a distinct possibility that the particular one he moused over at 11:55 was Biff Slamkovich/Alexey Zalazov, which would disprove my own decades old theory that Slam Masters Alexey became SF3 Alex. 3. The face of this game's Cammy looks the closest to Kylie Minogue from the 1994 live action movie that she's ever had and I'm totally here for it.
Cammy looks stunning! And that execution move from the SF II Animated Film was icing on the cake. Zangief calling for the Jackhammer before hitting the move made me smile. Best Zangief has ever looked imho. And Lily reminds me a lot of Talim from Soul Calibur, but aesthetically and thematically (i.e. the 'wind' theme).

One thing I love about Zangief's super is that he gives them a kick to the gut before doing the SPD, it's such a fantastic transition point, reminds me of how someone like Stone Cold would kick his opponent before doing the Stunner
7:32 this is an amazing clip of animation because it shows just how willing they are to show interactions in 2.5d space, moving further out or closer to our perspective. Unlike in the past where they try to downplay it or even hide it.

This might sound kinda weird but: Sure, thirst trapping was obviously a key motivation in their design choices for this game. But in terms of design philosophy, Street Fighter conveys an appreciation for the beauty of the human body, in all its variety and regardless of gender. It goes past just sex appeal, it's paying tribute to what makes martial arts so beautiful and awe inspiring: Seeing someone's mastery over their body, and the effort they've put into honing it, on display.
Thank you! That is why I don't understand some people's dislike for more clothing with the characters.. Cammy's new design still emites sex appeal and that is because of her structure and movements..you don't need less clothing to be appealing.

I dunno why but Cammy in SF6 somehow gives me a lot of Nina Williams vibe in her attitude. She seems like she's like a spy / executionner. Her Level 3 is her litterally execute her opponent with a swift kick.
And we finally have Zangief doing actually wrestling. The theatric stomps, Clothesline, Scoop Slam, Elbow Drop, Mongolian Chop, Dragon Screw, Jackhammer... He has an insane Wrestling moveset like it's legit good.

A lot of the time, when you see amazingly muscular bodybuilders in competitions, they purposely dehydrate themselves, causing their skin to suck in and get tight around their muscles. I knew a bodybuilder that would get smashed on vodka a night or two before a competition so that he would dehydrate himself faster. It's disturbingly unhealthy, yet, Hollywood likes to pretend that's what peak fitness looks like.

I honestly think that Capcom has realized during the last few years that giving people fanservice is not only harmless, it also makes people love them more. Especially with other devs trying to turn away from it. That together with making actually good games, during the past few years with RE and MH and now this, I really hope they keep going.

Fanservice? In the way I often hear it used to mean "softcore porn" then I see little of that here. Character designs are good instead of fap bait like in really low quality fighting games. Though some of the camera angles are quite intimate if that's what you meant, in which case I see it done to every character evenly so it feels more natural to just the style of the game. And that is cool.
In a more literal sense of doing things for the fans, it's insane that not every game is doing that, and that Mortal Kombat is the one that comes to mind as a game that did more for the fans. But yes SF6 feels like they're finally caring about what SF fans want. Probably because it's now being made by people that are SF fans themselves.
I really hope other develops does that, Capcom is one of those companies that show female body done right.
Pretty sure the original comment had nothing to do with Mortal Kombat changing up how the women look. Honestly, MK has been doing pretty great fanservice with the guest characters and stuff like the MK movie skin pack with voice acting.
Capcom have been doing this fanservice for a while too, to be fair. It usually manifests as skin packs, background characters and the odd lines in endings in the SF series.
Zangief's transition to SF6 is so smooth that when you see him you just think "Yup that's Zangief". He looks so good. Of course Cammy is one sexy character, but damn Zangief looks incredible as well.

1. Me being a lifelong wrestling fan, Zangief having a Dragon Screw and a MF'n _Jackhammer_ on top of what he's already had for decades is mind-blowing to think about.
2. If what Max said about Gief's stage having CWA/Slam Masters wrestlers in the back is correct, there's a distinct possibility that the particular one he moused over at 11:55 was Biff Slamkovich/Alexey Zalazov, which would disprove my own decades old theory that Slam Masters Alexey became SF3 Alex.
3. The face of this game's Cammy looks the closest to Kylie Minogue from the 1994 live action movie that she's ever had and I'm totally here for it.
i like to think that R.Mika taught zangief how to show off more in a match. that's why he's showing much more showmanship in this game

This is the first time I've ever looked at Zangief's scars and actually winced. They made those scars look so real
yeah. they arent superficial like they used to look. some of them are actual trenches of missing flesh. absolutely brutal.
Cammy looks stunning! And that execution move from the SF II Animated Film was icing on the cake. Zangief calling for the Jackhammer before hitting the move made me smile. Best Zangief has ever looked imho. And Lily reminds me a lot of Talim from Soul Calibur, but aesthetically and thematically (i.e. the 'wind' theme).
People will probably like Lily more tho. She as took Talim's place and replaced her.

The amount of detail in the characters is wild. Not just visually, also in concept. Zangief being more wrestly than ever, the way Lily moves T. Hawk's moves to her stature.

One thing I love about Zangief's super is that he gives them a kick to the gut before doing the SPD, it's such a fantastic transition point, reminds me of how someone like Stone Cold would kick his opponent before doing the Stunner

7:32 this is an amazing clip of animation because it shows just how willing they are to show interactions in 2.5d space, moving further out or closer to our perspective. Unlike in the past where they try to downplay it or even hide it.

in order, his basic punch is a chest chop with the palm of the hand, toe stomps, body slam to an elbow drop, Mongolian Chop, (styalized with the crazy spinning jump) sit out powerbomb, meteora knee drop, double belly to back suplex, drop kick, headbutt, spinning lariat, counters the kick with a dragon screw.
in air was a headbutt to lariat to spinning piledriver
L1 super looks like a European Uppercut transition to a delayed vertical suplex powerslam (Goldbergs Jackhammer from back in the day)
next super was a lariat, taunt, toe kick to midsection into a spinning sit out powerbomb

I honestly think Zangief is the best looking out of these three. I love how they made his body proportions more realistic, especially his arms. Now he doesn’t look so top-heavy and toylike, and most of his mass is actually in his torso.

This might sound kinda weird but: Sure, thirst trapping was obviously a key motivation in their design choices for this game. But in terms of design philosophy, Street Fighter conveys an appreciation for the beauty of the human body, in all its variety and regardless of gender. It goes past just sex appeal, it's paying tribute to what makes martial arts so beautiful and awe inspiring: Seeing someone's mastery over their body, and the effort they've put into honing it, on display.

I love the fact that not everyone is a Greek sculpture, characters are allowed to have body fat, characters are allowed to look beaten and bruised, they aren't constantly looking like anime characters, this is a wonderful mixture of a realistic and fictional depiction of martial arts
