When I clicked on this video I could smell the Marlboro Reds and Jack Daniels through my phone.
My uncle Mack Vickery wrote this song, you can probably find his version here on UA-cam. I have always like the way Paycheck did it slightly better, and so did Mack. I visited both of their graves a few years back. RIP Johnny and Mack.
Struck me while watching this vid.....Paycheck's one of the most outlaw of "outlaw country" players/singers ever, and the ONLY one who played it honky-tonk. with a little bluegrass on this one. It's as country as you'll ever get, but it rocks real hard.

Seen johnny paycheck play a gig down in Douglas Ga at a place called HotShots. Back in the early 90s. I have to say that place was packed and to tell you the truth,, That was one of the best shows ive ever seen. I remember him playing that song and the place went wild. RIP JOHNNY PAYCHECK !! You were one of the best.
