I remember not having a memory card and having to listen to the elaborate narration in the beginning so many times that I still remember every word of it even after 19 years. Nostalgia is written all over this beautiful game ❤️
It's incredible that I remember the entire intro after all these years. I love the sounds in the game - of the opening doors, steps, the wind in the castle, beans, those weird things Draco and Harry are throwing at each other, etc. The sounds are absolutely unique.
Man this brings back a lot of memories. It really does have a ton of charm to it. That music is incredible. I really wish we got a remaster of the first three games.
❤YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FEAR DEATH IF YOU BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST, AND TRUST IN HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART, BECAUSE HE ATONED FOR YOU FOR ALL YOUR INSULTS, THAT YOU WOULD OBTAIN PEACE WITH ALMIGHTY GOD, AND GO TO HEAVEN BY HIS GRACE!!!❤❤❤!
Same here I would love to see these old Harry Potter games get a re-release on modern consoles I love the music to. The music composer is Jeremy Soule he did the music for the Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Goblet of Fire as well and Skyrim.
"Hey Harry I'm McGonagall. I know we just met and you luckily caught that Remembrall but guess what? You get to play Quidditch and your first match starts now".
"Hey Harry, it's McGonagall again, I know you just fought a troll and I didn't let you know or gave you a chance of recovering or training, but you need to come right away to a quidditch match because we literally do not have another seeker"
The spacing always felt eternally off, its hard to feel the flow of time. Like yeah, hogwarts is going to have its entire quidditch season within a day.
I have passed this game twice in my lifetime, and i've collected all the bertie bots beans during one of those play throughs. Have my original copy from when I was a kid. I NEVER found all the witches and wizards cards and never won the house cup though... and last time I played I gave up on the mine kart level. But these holidays, I've knuckled down to finally see the secret ending - I'm past the mine karts (after far tok many attempts to mention), have 17 cards and just unlocked the red bertie bots bean knock back flipendo jynx duo spell... 85% there.
The aesthetics of both this one & the chamber of secrets are truly outstanding.. I dont think there will ever be games to offer us something like that again! The nostalgia is strong wtih this one!
"Harry, my dragon is sick, so You must go with me to London (just like that, in the middle of a school year). Take money from Your vault (to do this You'll have to do some crazy ride and pick up forms), buy all necessary items for you money (it's not that simple that you give money to shopkeeper and have the product, no no, You need to do some crazy s***), I 'll be in a bar in the moment and drink some beers" F***!!!
All you need is to buy this game on Ebay, then go buy a Playstation 1 or Playstation 2 machine on Ebay as well and reminisce those memories again! I still have my Playstation 2 which plays Playstation 1 games on it like a pro without having the actual playstation 1 to play those games.
Good god I didn't even think this was on UA-cam and seeing the classic PlayStation 1.... The PlayStation that started the PlayStation series... This bring me to my days when I was a little kid. Sooooo many memories, thank you for recording this
I remember getting stuck for a long time as a kid trying to figure out the chessboard part. I drew myself a guide as I finally figured it out so that I'd never get stuck there again lol.
One of the first video games I ever played on Playstation! Brings back a lot of memories. Though I played the PS2 and PC versions of this and CoS, the PS1 will always be one to remember! Loved these games!
This game has a mysterious eerie feeling that I'm not sure where to find in games today. I'm sure there's some horror games that do it that I'm just not thinking about rn but the constant silence and the really reverbed voice acting in this game did wonders for the vibe. Made it mysterious as hell for me as a kid
Still one of my favorite PS1 games. I remember the restricted section and the Forbidden forest used to scare me, like the Forbidden forest and sneaking past the teachers in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets PS1.
The part in this game where you get to go through fred and georges secret passage behind the staue that leads to the snow level in hogsmeade brings back memories i dont know why but this looks more crisp then the ps2 version of harry potter sorcerers stone even though the ps2 version is more polished ❤
Damn I was literally 5 playing this game in 02. I had no idea what Harry Potter was besides this game. This and the Jurassic park ps1 game were my two very first games. Good times. Simpler times.
No they need if they remade this I want the same graphics I don't give a shit about the updated to graphics like the like Corsa air and ddr4 and the newest up to date graphic card running wow well cod now and heatdth stone .
One of my top favorite childhood games I love the music in this game the composer for the music in this and the Chamber of Secrets is Jeremy Soule he did the music for Skyrim. I loved The Chamber of Secrets, The Prisoner of Azkaban and The Goblet of Fire as well I would love to see these old Harry Potter games get a re-release on modern consoles. I had the PC version to it's different from the Ps1 version.
Noo... You don't understand how emotional this iss making me.. I used to play this all the time with my older brother when I was little on PlayStation1.. I'm so glad I found this to remind me of the simple, magical and enthusiastic days of being a kid just playing and having fun..❤️ So many beautiful memories unlocked watching this✨
I remember playing this as a kid and for some reason it always gave me the creeps. Looking at it now i think it was the laxk of background music honestly as a kid silence was more creepy to me than darkness.
What makes this game brilliant for PlayStation is the limited sounds They are working with. Gives it that much more of an eerie feeling hearing all the surrounding sounds instead of music playing over it the whole time.
This game always reminds me of simpler times...better times. I remember a few years ago I found my disc in the garage, created an ISO of it and played it on an emulator on my pc.
I remember this game and playing at a bunch as a kid. So I decided to try and see what the PlayStation 2 version looks like for once. Outside of superior model design and some visual upgrades it is definitely inferior compared to this one
I can't agree more, the PS2/GC never reaches the polished gameplay of the PS1 game, the camera stuck with objects, locking on enemies and landing spells is frustrating most of the times. The only redeeming feature of the "bigger" versions is the free roam broomstick but sadly there isn't too much to do with it.
I used to watch my brother playing and I've always got scared and went straight under my bed, when he had to jump over the cauldrons 1:18:45 , because he always died there. But I kept watching. For hours. We had no memory card yet. So we played through the night, leaving the ps1 running but most importantly, we covered it to hide the button light and faked sleeping when our mother came in the room to give us the goodnight kiss. As soon as she left, we got back to playing. It was so magical. I'm getting emotional over a fucking game. Damn you game nostalgia.
0:35 holyy I forgot how good the narrator was, gives me chills after listening to it after 18 years. He has such a perfectly mysterious voice, I love it.
Can anyone help me identify what song on the soundtrack the peice of music at 6:19 is? What it’s name is officially on the soundtrack. I compared it to simaler tracks like ‘Happy Hogwarts’ and ‘Hogwarts Neutral’ but it’s definitely not the same as those.
Does anyone know why in gringots bank in main cart number two when you collect silver coin are missing 12 gems. In one part of mine is simply missing gems, I look in youtube video and they are there. I can only collect 43 gems and I don't get a wizard card. I don't understand. Is problem in game or what? Please hep
Nostalgia. My first HP game. I was 7 when this was released. Still have it. I managed to reach 93%, so great job. Why nobody ever talk about the adorable Puffskeins exclusive to this version? I know a trick to bypass the level without having to force them into the vents (defeat them) and then face them later anytime you want like the smaller first one you encounter in 36:38. But what was Fred and George thinking? Using it as a Bludger? Puffskeins look absolutely nothing like them and I can't imagine whacking those poor innocent creatures with bats...
I played the crap out of this game when it first came out, yet I’ve still never managed to quite get 100%, but I’ve come close. I don’t know what it is, but this game, while a lot of fun, just feels creepy and eerie with all the dead silence in a lot of parts. Still fun to play and is full of memories
Finally saw the ending to this game. As a kid, my friend had the game but the disc was corrupted and it would freeze when the opening the last door to the fight with Voldemort. I wish they remake this game and Jersey Devil.
such a great game! Brings back so many memories. I still have this game somewhere in my house. I lost the second one so many years ago. The second one was best in my opinion. Love them both!

You can't, and there's no room behind that door, it's just there. You can, however, open it in Chamber Of Secrets, as long as you have 500 beans in your bean counter. It takes to a small room wich contains the Flipendo Duo Spell.
I’m sad that there is no ps1 versions of the last 6 Harry Potter movies but I can’t imagine what peter pettigrew, bellatrix, umbridge, mad eye moody, aunt marge, greyback, horace slughorn, and sirus black would look like if they were in the ps1 Harry Potter games

haha the same, but I have a memory card but I didn't know that I can save it xD Eh I was playing 3 hours non stop and next time again xD
I remember getting all the way to the chess game near the end and my grandma making me go to bed. No memory card LOL funny how so many didnt use them
Lmao literally same. I was like ill never beat this game and you know what…i never did smh
Honestly same. I was a little kid at time and didn’t care for a memory card. I just kept playing to same missions over and over again having a blast
I literally had the same situation it was a race before u has to turn off ur console
It's incredible that I remember the entire intro after all these years. I love the sounds in the game - of the opening doors, steps, the wind in the castle, beans, those weird things Draco and Harry are throwing at each other, etc. The sounds are absolutely unique.

nice
"Hey Harry, it's McGonagall again, I know you just fought a troll and I didn't let you know or gave you a chance of recovering or training, but you need to come right away to a quidditch match because we literally do not have another seeker"

so Quidditch maybe?

I remember the dungeon section terrified me as a kid. That sleeping troll made me quite the game and switch to ctr.
Fred: “Well well. If it isn’t the boy who..”
George: “Lived under the stairs!”
Harry: “How did you know?”
Fred and George: “We see everything!”

Why nobody ever talk about the adorable Puffskeins exclusive to this version?
