Look, I've loved Harry Potter since I was 5, I'm 20 now but even I'll admit that there were issues with the films, especially when it comes to certain characters like Ginny. People often blame the direction, which is true but I don't think the actress was right for the part, other than in COS when she was written as a shy character.
The latest movies not even close to the book. The Burrow was never set into fire, Voldemort never fallen into pieces, not to mention Ginny's and Harry's first awkward kiss and how they made her into a mary sue. And there's a lot of plot holes, like the family of Voldemort or why Lily Evans fell for a bully like James.
I think that the actress who portrayed Ginny did a good job. The second movie was funny when she comes down the stairs. And I'd like Harry Potter and the deathly hollows better if they showed the deleted scene. That is a adorable scene cause they held hands. 😋😏😇
hafsamumtaz1 That is true, sorry for the mistake. Although she did only approve the first two scripts, she trusted everyone working on Harry Potter to convey her books well. She even said that herself.
Ginny in the books: Oh shut up laughing you two, because they've just been turned down by girls they asked to the ball! Ginny is the movies: sHoELaCeS o.o Also why did they take out the scene where Harry looks at Ginny in the marauders map before he died? 😖

it just amaze me they can still walk in sync despite that Voldy is one call away from them 😁 gosh i ship harry and ginny so much! especially in the book. i wish they would make more Hinny scenes in the movie like how they make RonMione.
I like it how Harry manages to get into the crowd and find Ginny without getting caught just like the old saying and it goes its all legal unless you get caught because once you’ve got caught you are buggered
I hate how they portrayed their relationship in the movies. The book gave me feels but I must admit that Dan and Bonnie is perfect as Hinny. For me Hinny is a definitely good fictional couple and Percabeth . Harry Potter and Percy Jackson is amazing tho.
I agree with everything you said. I never found anything wrong with Bonnie and Daniel, but the direction is to blame. All Ginny scenes (with exceptions like the shoelaces and first kiss) were book accurate. But they were not enough to build her in the movies. Also Percabeth rules
Awww I love this scene. It shouldn't be deleted. It shows a bit better how Hogwarts was in that time and how Ginny felt. And Harry is trying to make her feel better and confident when he and she knew that the war was going to start in a few minutes and they both could die.
ok, so just so the people who are confused know: this scene wasn't completely deleted, it was just shortened. they didn't show the Ginny and harry part, just them all walking down the stairs...
I'm pretty sure the reason they dropped this scene is because they wanted to add more shock value to the scene where harry steps out of the group of students to confront snape. If they kept this scene in then the other scene would lose its vigor. They should have developed ginny and harry's relationship in other better ways. In my humble opinion this was a good cut for what it did in the later scene.
INSTEAD OF PUTTING F... HARMONY (HARRY/HERMIONE) SCENES THAT NEVER EXISTED IN THE BOOKS JUST FOR THE HARRY/HERMIONE SHIPPERS PLEASURE (COUPLE THAT WILL NEVER EXIST, HARRY LOVES GINNY, HERMIONE LOVES RON) THEY SHOULD PUT THIS AMAZING SCENE!!! I HATE THE LAST 4 HARRY POTTER MOVIES...!!! THEY HAVE RUINED THE RONMIONE AND THE HANNY, JUST FOR PUTTING STUPID COUPLES (HARRY HERMIONE.. COF..COF) THAT WILL NEVER EXIST! BUT...LISTEN TO ME... RONMIONE AND HANNY, ARE REAL COUPLES, NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, THEY LOVE EACH OTHER AND THAT IS WHAT MATTERS!!
Yeah you are right. They can understand each other perfectly. No matter how far they were but their hearts were always connected. Harry has Ginny's heart and Ginny has Harry's heart. Love this couple. #Hinny ❣️❣️
Depends on which version. Theatrical it's not, but the version they play on tv (of most the series) has a few deleted scenes added in. I think it has something to do with adding/cutting time based on air time for ads
I do have to admit. Even though they kinda messed up Ginny in the movie canon at least they got a well talented and good looking actress like Bonnie Wright to do the role.
If you're looking for how Ginny and Harrys relationship should have been done, watch the movie. I was so disappointed in there relationship in the books because of how pointless and underdone it was, but in the movies they are really cute together.
Nice trolling. Considering that in the books Harry had those kind of dreams about Ginny, he would fidget around and wonder what it's like to kiss her and worry that if he did so, Ron would feel betrayed :v
i dont think rowling rlly cared for who ends up w who lol its not rlly relevant to the plot.. and she did say she regrets not making hermoinie and harry a couple. shows how little effort she put into those romantic bits
ah yes. the books are truly magnificent. Ginny is such an amazing character (and pretty badass) and I don't feel like she had enough screen time in the movie. Plus there is a very funny description of how Harry felt in the book.
This is pretty awesome! I honestly loved Harry and Ginny's relationship in all the films! They did amazing with their relationship in my opinion and their relationships really developed super strong. I loved both films and books equally and I could understand why they can't add everything in the movies so I wouldn't complain about it and would just respect it. Also book Ginny was amazing and badass and movie Ginny was amazing and badass. Same with every single characters in the books. They were all amazing and equally badass in the movies. I could never compare them with books and movies because both are equal to me and I am not gonna favor one over the other. It feels wrong for me to do that. I'm sure some people will disagree with me but I don't give a fuck. I am just being honest and I am a real true fan. Their relationship was pretty strong in the movies just like it was in the books and I could see that. Harry is really brave for risking his life in getting caught. I also loved the directors and the cast. I don't hate any of them or hate any of the characters. The villains are the ones we love to hate but don't actually hate from the series. And the way they kissed in the movies? YES YES YES YES! I loved the kiss scene in the books and movies equally but ngl I kinda preferred the kiss in the movie than I did with the books. I feel like their kiss in the movie was more romantic, passionate, sweet, and awkward. That's how me and my bf always kiss. I respected that they didn't kiss in front of everyone and why both scenes were different. Don't expect any complaints or criticisms from me about any Harry Potter series cause I'm a Potterhead forever.
Good decision. It gives the scene of Harry showing up among the students wearing the robe of Gryffindor but not his entire uniform a VERY strong impression and it gives a strong symbol he came back but not for studying. ... Even if Severus Snape is getting spit at again right aftern when he experienced so many things. I imagine fan fics where he gets on Harry's side back after Minerva starts the duel and he only use defensive spells to hurt the 2 Death Eaters INSIDE the Castle. But JKR's writing is probably the best among what I read as a hobby, far ahead before mangas. I do not approve her controversial behavior though, but I still respect her for this world and her personality fighting depression.
Haha once you see it you see the green everywhere. It can't be the reason they deleted it though, think of all the visual effects they create - they would be able to fix a bit of an error like that
theyre not hiding it. special effects would have been added to the green screen in post production. as they choose to delete this scene they didn't add any special effects since this scene wasn't in the final cut shown in theaters anyway. would have been a waste of their time
Can they make a new film to just told the cheezy love story of Ginny Harry, Ron Hermione, Neville Luna, and others??? LoL 😂 it's been so long and I missed them so much

JK Rowling only approved the scripts for the first 2 films. After that she had a lot less control over the movies
hafsamumtaz1 That is true, sorry for the mistake. Although she did only approve the first two scripts, she trusted everyone working on Harry Potter to convey her books well. She even said that herself.
Ginny in the books:
Oh shut up laughing you two, because they've just been turned down by girls they asked to the ball!
Ginny is the movies:
sHoELaCeS o.o
Also why did they take out the scene where Harry looks at Ginny in the marauders map before he died? 😖
or how he watched her when they were out looking for the Horcruxes!
He was always watching her on the map or thinking about her. There was so much that could have been done there.
movies are a letdown when it comes to Hinny. And the fact that I love them so much in books♥, it's really sad. But in this scene their sheer resemblance to James and Lily makes me sigh so bad.*love love love*
it just amaze me they can still walk in sync despite that Voldy is one call away from them 😁
gosh i ship harry and ginny so much! especially in the book. i wish they would make more Hinny scenes in the movie like how they make RonMione.
I like it how Harry manages to get into the crowd and find Ginny without getting caught just like the old saying and it goes its all legal unless you get caught because once you’ve got caught you are buggered
I got recommended this 11 years later

I hate how they portrayed their relationship in the movies. The book gave me feels but I must admit that Dan and Bonnie is perfect as Hinny. For me Hinny is a definitely good fictional couple and Percabeth . Harry Potter and Percy Jackson is amazing tho.
Ann B. Mauro Percabeth and Hinny😍😍
You, good citizen, have taste.
I agree with everything you said. I never found anything wrong with Bonnie and Daniel, but the direction is to blame. All Ginny scenes (with exceptions like the shoelaces and first kiss) were book accurate. But they were not enough to build her in the movies. Also Percabeth rules
This scene is so sweet, I love how subtle it is. Thank you for posting.
WE ARE IN NEED OF AN EXTENDED EDITION OF THE HARRY POTTER MOVIES

Never should have been cut out. Would’ve added depth to their relationship
this should have been left in!! it tugged at my heartstrings!

if they ever make a remake and we don't get Harry x Ginny properly written and BookGinny, I'll be really pissed.
I'd love a remake if Harry ends up with either Hermione or Luna.
Wait you'll be pissed if they have book Ginny? Books Ginny is better then movie Ginny

Awww I love this scene. It shouldn't be deleted. It shows a bit better how Hogwarts was in that time and how Ginny felt. And Harry is trying to make her feel better and confident when he and she knew that the war was going to start in a few minutes and they both could die.
I CANT STOP WATCHING THIS THATS HOW MUCH IM IN LOVE THIS SCENE!!!😭😭😭

ok, so just so the people who are confused know: this scene wasn't completely deleted, it was just shortened. they didn't show the Ginny and harry part, just them all walking down the stairs...
Which part is this in harry potter series ???

that was so wholesome why did they even delete this 🥺
I know right it’s such an amazing scene
FR THIS SCENE IS AMAZING
awwww bonnie and daniel l love youu
They made no effort in Ginny and Harry’s relationship in the movies, so poorly developed
RONMIONE AND HANNY, ARE REAL COUPLES, NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, THEY LOVE EACH OTHER AND THAT IS WHAT MATTERS!!

imagine this video getting reccomended after 11 years hey we have corona virus still in 2021
I could've sworn this was in the movie
Depends on which version. Theatrical it's not, but the version they play on tv (of most the series) has a few deleted scenes added in. I think it has something to do with adding/cutting time based on air time for ads
Ginny is beautiful
I do have to admit. Even though they kinda messed up Ginny in the movie canon at least they got a well talented and good looking actress like Bonnie Wright to do the role.
This should have made it in the movie! Such a strong moment
Of all the deleted scenes I've seen from this series, this is the one that is most tragically cut and shouldn't have been.
No, this needs to be a real scene. It NEEDS to be!
I’m pissed about how they potray Harry and Ginny’s relationship in the movies. THERE IS NO CHEMISTRY
OMG ?! So Sweet ! Why are they delting this scene
It's been 20 years already.... Never gets Old Harry Potter ♡
If you're looking for how Ginny and Harrys relationship should have been done, watch the movie. I was so disappointed in there relationship in the books because of how pointless and underdone it was, but in the movies they are really cute together.
***** agreed
I think this person was trolling guys.. because DUH the books were much better.
Nice trolling. Considering that in the books Harry had those kind of dreams about Ginny, he would fidget around and wonder what it's like to kiss her and worry that if he did so, Ron would feel betrayed :v
good point.
i dont think rowling rlly cared for who ends up w who lol its not rlly relevant to the plot.. and she did say she regrets not making hermoinie and harry a couple. shows how little effort she put into those romantic bits
they should hav kept this scene in the movieeeee
I saw this scene in ABC Families Harry Potter week. It's not deleted
DIVERGENT DID ALMOST THE EXACT SAME F*CKING THING
ah yes. the books are truly magnificent. Ginny is such an amazing character (and pretty badass) and I don't feel like she had enough screen time in the movie. Plus there is a very funny description of how Harry felt in the book.
all the deleted scenes should've stayed in the movies
I wish they didn't delete this scene... in the movie Ginny and Harry literally had no chemistry. In the movie they just came out of nowhere.
Don’t understand why they didn’t include this. Yeah it might seem weird but there’s so little Harry x Ginny moments this was needed
THEY ARE TOO CUTE I WANNA CRY
Ginny a red head
Lily: Sort of a red head
Harry: Black Head
James: Black head
Wow
Lily and James in their new life taking form
Blackhead is certainly a word I'd use to describe James.
best scene ever!! why'd they cut it out :'-( my shipper heart! HINNY 4EVER!!
thank you for the footage we need more ginny in here like why is she in 2% of the movies girl bye
The Hinny is REAL, guys!!!
They should've have kept this scene in, their relationship was poorly developed and it was really awkward. But, Hinny is my OTP.
Isn't this like similar to what happened in divergent with four and tris
Yes! I was think about the same thing.
Yeah but since this came out first...
Finally a scene that isn’t the most awkward thing ever

BffWithHeart Well, they did delete the scene for said reason
BffWithHeart omg loool
Gaby_Does_Stuff
Ah then that is the reason why they deleted the scene
Haha once you see it you see the green everywhere. It can't be the reason they deleted it though, think of all the visual effects they create - they would be able to fix a bit of an error like that
theyre not hiding it. special effects would have been added to the green screen in post production. as they choose to delete this scene they didn't add any special effects since this scene wasn't in the final cut shown in theaters anyway. would have been a waste of their time
Can they make a new film to just told the cheezy love story of Ginny Harry, Ron Hermione, Neville Luna, and others??? LoL 😂 it's been so long and I missed them so much
Actually Neville and Luna didn't end up together as Hermione was like Molly, Ginny was like Lily and Luna was like Alice longbottom (Neville's mother) Neville decided to do something different so he ended up with Hannah Abott. And Luna ended up with Newt scamander's grandson Rolf scamander.

THE CUT SCENES ARE ALWAYS THE BEST ONES
ok Harry Potter author J. K. Rowling gave a speech during the world premiere of the eighth and final film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on 7 July 2011 in London, England. She announced that there are seven Harry Potter film series cast members whom she refers to as "The Big Seven", and she named Wright as one of the seven member alongside with Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis and Evanna Lynch.[10] so J. K. Rowling i happy with ginny in the movies and bonnie so shut up pliz for the love off god i think bonnie wright was amazing in the movies i love ginny in the book's and in the movies Stop hating Bonnie Wright and her performance as Ginny in the movies. Seriously, it's getting REALLY annoying. Bonnie is such a talented actress
Well, I think Ginny just wasn't written well, in the book, as well. She and Harry barely spoke to one another in OotP, and then all of a sudden, in HBP, they're madly in love. He doesn't make a lot of sense.
Zachary Pfundt well that has nothing to do with her now does it it has more to do with david yates than ever bonnie
osk vidisdottir Exactly. That was my point.
No one hates Bonnie
No is hating on Bonnie wright everyone is hating on how poorly her character was developed not Bonnies acting
Let's keep on mind that ginny married her celebrity crush! they are so cute toguether!
