    So funny how all these guitarists from the grunge Era tried to distance themselves from Eddie back then yet they have all come forth and acknowledged he was their greatest influence. Eddie sits atop a mountain that no other guitar player can even see...

      I was thinking that while watching this. Back in the early 90s, these dudes were all way too cool to “acknowledge” 80s rock lol

      @@manifestgtr it is..Morello calls him Mozart, Corgan was one to acknowledge back then and said that he was a savant after interviewinghim back then claiming even while talking to him with cigarette dangling from his mouth was playing the most mind-blowing stuff without even paying attention to it, Layne Staley got into music after seeing VH live....Cantrell acknowledged too, McCready said VH was greatest live band he'd ever seen, Adam Jones's ringtone is Ain't talking bout Love, among many others not as popular. It's still unfathomable how deep and wide his influence has been on music since 1977 basically. What would grunge be without those players who were all heavily inspired and motivated after hearing and seeing Eddie and VH. People still don't really grasp his impact on music

      @manifestgtr 2 роки тому

      Pearl Jam was actually top of the “grunge” list, really…as far as the mainstream Seattle bands go. Those guys came from green river, etc. who were considered to be the real MVPs of the grunge guys when they were still regional acts. Alice In Chains, however, I will agree with. Those guys had glam beginnings and way heavier songwriting. They have nothing to do with that label.
