It works if I set 1 partition at 50mb that was a guess I will play around with more partitions the s3000 classic must be slightly different to the XL bit more fussy with partitions
For the s3000 classic with filter board the max format partitions is 8 at 60mb, this gives 31mb free for DD recording around 6 minutes , so reducing the partions with give you more free DD recording time, thanks again for the vid
FYI: A friend tried this without a filter board extension, and it works. FIlter expansion is NOT required for the DD option on the S3000XL!

Still no joy formatted 60 mb 10 partions still has recording length at zero , trying some different partion sizes

Can you put an actual hdd inside the 3000xl ?
Yup, you can toss a scsi HD in there. It’s best to roll with a SD scsi though, far more reliable and silent :)
