Replacing Old Treated Decking With TREX Composite! Deck Redo

Giving new life to an old deck with TREX composite decking! The framing underneath the rotted decking was in great shape despite being 25 years old. So we removed the old decking and are installing new decking, but with some upgrades to give it a beautiful new look. This is Part 1, where we demo, go over the framing and the plan for going forwards. I show all the old deck framing, the main support beam and posts, ledger board, flashing, joist hangers, railings, stairs and more!

I have watched all 4 videos on your stairs. Really turned out great. Inwas hoping to see how you tackled the bottom of the stairs on the hill side slant. How you built it up solid for a good soil landing lower step

what about the joist spacing?

check with the manufacturer. Some decking has to be 12" on center but some can be 16". I've definitely built decks that had to be 12"OC and they are a pain in the butt
