    Huge progress. Those wheel wells are beautiful. The bed is going to look amazing. You won't know if the 1 degree in the driveshaft alignment is problematic until you get her on the road, so, hurry up and get her fired up and rolling down the road. Thanks for the video.

    I took a 2002 Duramax truck radiator and a Duramax van air to air and turned them on their side and mounted then to a fabricated core support in front of the dodge fan and clutch on the 12 Valve. Goes almost all the way up to the hood but works really well om my 52 6400. I pull heavy with a compound turbos and it never gets hot.

    I just watched your build series on this, if you need to space the front wheels out some. Get you some 2001-2010 chevy 3500HD dually hub extensions. Those allowed the dually style wheels to be ran on on a 3/4 ton. Wouldn't have to extend the a-arms then. I used them on my 82 c10 dually conversion.

      Thank you! It’ll definitely be something to keep an eye on but with the wheel size and gearing, I’m not as concerned as if I were running an overdrive setup with short rear end gears. I’m hoping it doesn’t spin fast enough to matter.

    Not that difficult when you have passion, tools, talent, and time. Oh yeah maybe years and years of practice and developing skills and problem solving. Glad I found this channel!!

      @@NorthwestSawyer You’re very welcome! Aren’t we all waiting for our ships to come in?! The average UA-cam consumer has zero idea of the obstacles legit fabricators without huge corporate sponsorship go through. Currently building a Triumph 2 wheeler and the thousands upon thousands of dollars and setbacks a body encounters along the way is somewhat frustrating but will yield favorable results. If it takes 5 minutes to do then anyone can do it and it becomes mundane. Bravo to you and your perseverance.

    Really cool build Jason. I noticed that you have left most of the frame without endcaps. Here in New York State, I need to weld end caps onto hollow members to prevent corrosion, is that something that you don't have to worry about there? There is something satisfying about welding components, such as shocks, to a frame and deciding where they need to go with the proper clearance to work. Great video thumbs up.

    • @NorthwestSawyer
      @NorthwestSawyer  2 місяці тому

      Thank you, Craig! I agree. I assume they salt the roads there? That isn’t the case for most of Oregon. They’re trying to start using salt on certain roadways but have met a lot of resistance.

  • @hackedlion
    @hackedlion Місяць тому

    You should always put the fat part of the shock towards the road I would want that little rod exposed I’d rather have it protected under the body great build tho

    Your quality editing makes the video's fun to follow and enjoy. The end of the driveline which goes into the transmission (yoke?) looks like it should have a rubber boot or sleeve or whatever the correct terminology is. Otherwise, won't water and dirt follow the yoke? Obviously I'm not a mechanic. 😇

    • @NorthwestSawyer
      @NorthwestSawyer  2 місяці тому

      It’s pretty hard to see but there’s a rubber grommet and a yoke seal that keep everything out and the oil in.

    Jason, re shock installation: Were the upper shock mounts that were 'meant' for these shocks inappropriate for your installation ? Why did you have to get mounts that required modification ?
    Over all, i see an absolute amount of personal capability, much admired on my part....
