Man I’ll be watching these too. I got my baby this week. Sad thing I just took it out box 📦 today. The update made me get it. I already work in Ableton with a Push2. This thing is a beast.

Your tutorial made me unpack my Akai force and set it up again. At first it seemed like this was a unnecessary luxury when my workflow through Fl studios in conjunction with my Akai advance49 keyboard was all I knew. The Force had me feeling like a dumb ass so I packed it in my safe for about 7 months. I hate that clicking noise all through rec session.

At 13:50, you should mention if your stuff isn’t recording like you put it down then your Timing Correct is probably messing with you, snapping the input to the grid. If this is happening hold down shift, hit TC on the bottom (like Marcus mentioned in the first part of the video) and select 1/64. That’ll ensure you can “humanize” the input. My force was autocorrecting to the 1/4 note at first, couldn’t figure out why.

REQUIRED READING: A very important “RULE” that should be kinda pinned to any Force tutorial is that you should NEVER save projects to the internal 16GB storage. It’s fine to save to a USB Flash, an SD card or even an internal SSD if you installed one. But NEVER save to the standard 16GB internal storage as you could accidentally mess up the internal demo projects, included loops, basic instrument settings, etc.
Sure, you could (probably) recover from messing them up by connecting your device to the internet and then connecting to AKAI to get all that default data back, but you will probably not know right away that you messed the internal storage up and it will drive you crazy trying to figure out why certain things no longer sound right. So just best not to save or muck with the internal storage. If you want to mess with a demo project, then copy it to one of the above locations first, then have at it!
Hey Elbow: Nice video! (Keep up the good work!)

Nice tutorial; but you may want to show how to set up a scale setting for notes; because when you load a plugin you load the default setting which is chromatic (so the notes play wrong unless you know which note to play). While you video you went from chromatic, which is the mode that let you play all the pads in a key, so there won't be "wrong notes", to scale mode without showing it.
For many people that have no clue about music theory or how to play an instrument, knowing how to set up the note mode in scale setup is essential; so maybe you want to point that out in the video

    Hello. A couple of questions
Can I delete a track? Say I select audio track, but I wanted to change it to a dry, track - how can I do this?
Second part to this question - can I change a track when loaded, to something else? Say I choose a plug-in but I want to change it to a drum track?
Can I change the tracks that are in the start up template? So instead of plugin and audio could I set it to have drums and plugin or two audio tracks etc?
Can I explode drums, like on the mpc one?
Can I change the plugin to a different sound, whilst in the same project, but on a later scene? For instance say I, using BassLine and I have a sub sound on the first row, on the next row could I change that to a different one , say thump for instance, and it not change the instance in the row above? If this isn’t possible can you tell me how to make a set with lots of different tracks, or point to a tutorial that shows how to do this? Currently it seems that it has the potential to be the most amazing live device but if you can’t have different instance s of plugins on the same track, I’m confused as to how I would perform, a full live set.
    Thanks in advance 😀

Can you use this with other daws and does it come with software like the MPC?????

No software needed. Projects from the Force can be exported directly into Ableton Live.

Question for anyone. If I’m in a project or a demo, how do I get back to the startup menu like when I turn on my Force where it list the demos and new project?

      @GearGuy 3 роки тому

Here is the answer and it is not the easiest to figure out for sure:
NOTE: This first part really only needs to be done once, unless you change it for some reason. (Read on, you’ll understand)
      1) Press Menu (from any screen except the screen that we are going to, LOL!)
      2) In the main menu screen go into Settings (at the top of the screen, it looks like a gear).
      3) When in Settings tap on Project Defaults on the left column
      4) At the top of Project Default page, make sure New Project is set to Demo/Template/Recent
THEN ONCE THAT SETTING IS SET, JUST DO THE FOLLOWING:
      1) Press the Save Button (it’s a real button, not anything on the screen)
      2) Select New Project (you may be prompted to save your old project).
… and that’s it, the New Project selection will now always bring up the Demo/Template/Recent screen.

What’s good Underdawg?! It really comes down to what your needs are 🤔 The MPC live is great for producers on the go! The Force is great for producers who wants a MPC workflow but with enhance capabilities like a better onboard mixer and arranger. The One is for producers new to the MPC workflow or who likes the one button layout or who likes the smaller unit and the cheaper price. Hope this helped bro bro! 🙏🏾👊🏾🤯

    • @marcuselbow

No. But you can export ur project as a Ableton Live Set and continue working on ur track in AL or AL lite where you can use plugins. 🙏🏾👊🏾

@@marcuselbow That's my only concern left actually. I primarily use FL studio for my recording and production, is it difficult to transfer to FL? I know that they have it set up with abelton but I'd have to assume there is multiple ways to export to any DAW?
