I ordered it on my 2022 F-450 just like the technology don’t think I will use it that much. After driving a semi truck for over 41 years retired now; I believe I can handle backing up.

I find it very useful especially when backing into tight spaces without a spotter. Let's me concentrate on what I'm seeing in the mirrors and where my trailer is going, and not worry about what the truck is doing.

I have it, was excited to use it with the cameras for my travel trailer. I set up 4 different trailers and have had VERY limited success using it. I’d like an option just to use the knob period. The sticker is STUPID. If it’s too dark out system won’t work, if sun is in wrong position and causing glare on camera or sticker, system won’t work. If you have to jack knife the trailer too far and camera looses site of the sticker, system won’t work. If your sticker or camera gets dirty while driving, system won’t work. You get the picture, I find the system about as useless as possible. On the rare occasion that all the stars align and it works, it is kinda neat, but NO WAY can you count on it. When it does “find” the sticker about the most useful thing it does is backup a trailer in a straight line. I love having the 360 camera system that came in the bundle, but the backup assist is a joke. Camera system also has significant issues, not being able to use them on demand when I want the is a giant PITA. I’m seriously looking into the link PTT shared in a diff video to correct that, but the price for that setup is high.

Have Pro Trailer Backup Assist on my '20 F250 Powerstroke. I don't use it much personally, having done a lot of trailering over the years, but it's awesome for when my girlfriend is backing down our boat at the ramp.

Had one in my F150 and set up was easy. Used it on my 30’ travel trailor. Traded my F150 in for a F250 diesel and I sure do miss the trailor assit in my F250.

Ordered my 2020 F-350 Tremor w/o it , I knew I wouldn’t use it. I still use my mirrors and forget I have a backup camera sometimes lol. With that being said if it works for some people why wouldn’t they want to use it.

Just set mine up for our 5th wheel last week. 5th wheel trailers use the yaw sensor in the pro backup assist kit that was stuffed under the back seat, and not the sticker. Cool tech!

    • @BigRed1200100

Did the yaw sensor come with the super duty ? I was told the yaw kit only was on the f150 for 5th wheels. If it was on the superduty what package was added to get the yaw sensor. Thanks. We have a 5th wheel and was told it’s not available, the yaw sensor, on the superduty.

@@BigRed1200100 I have a f350 dually. Equipped with the pro backup assist package. In the glove box were the "conventional trailer" stickers as shown in this video. But under the back seat was a very large bag with the yaw sensor, cable and mount kit

Michael, now I’m really confused I have a 2021 f350 with the pro trailer assist package but got the SRW because my 5th wheel is heavy but not heavy enough to get the dually. I found the stickers but nothing under the rear seat. So I asked about the yaw sensor and the dealer said it doesn’t come with the superduty. I’m like that’s dumb, I ordered it and they knew I was pulling a 5th wheel, said you didn’t say anything then, got the 5th wheel prep package. Upon looking it doesn’t even have the plug for the sensor it has the regular 7-pin and 3-pin. I’ve got a 5th wheel and bought the $1700 option so my wife could back the camper up. And can’t use it. Don’t get it ARod.

@@BigRed1200100 mines a 2020. In fact a STX so basically a XL with chrome bumpers and alum wheels. Took delivery 12/2020
This unit was spec'd by the dealer with all the tow options. Pro backup assist, ultimate camera, BLIS, 5th wheel prep, and the 32.5k ford factory 5th wheel hitch. My "in bed" trailer connector did have the yaw sensor cable receptical though. Check your IN BED socket. If not then you'll won't have the yaw sensor .. dealer likely missed something when building it out.
There were 2 other similar units, and one was a f350 long bed SRW. All 3 units had the Large Bag under rear seat.
I suspect someone swiped it out the truck before you took possession. I'd test that theory and visit another dealer to see if the bag is in the truck. (Provided the dealer has trucks).
Call the factory customer service line. I'm sure they'll run your vin to see if it should have been included.
I can't say for sure, but if I were guessing it's the 5th wheel prep option coupled with pro backup assist that gives that yaw sensor

ARod how come the SRW doesn’t come with the yaw sensor for 5 wheels. Have a 2021 f350 with pro trailer package ordered and the 5th wheel prep package and can’t use it because it didn’t come with the yaw sensor for 5th wheels. But sounds like if you. Ordered a dually you received the yaw sensor for 5th wheels. See previous posts with Michael Adams. My dealer didn’t tell me I needed the dually. My 5th wheel is light enough for a SRW. Pissed in NY

Great video. Not sure if I will ever use mine, but I was wondering how to set it up. On a side note, do you know what the rear axle u bolt torque specs are? I recently did a ready lift 2.5 sst kit and replaced my rear blocks with taller ones. The instructions says 110 ft lbs. That seems like it's not enough torque. Thanks
