  • A soda maker adds carbon dioxide to water to create carbonated water, or what some people call “fizzy” or “sparkling” water. You can then add syrup to the carbonated water to create flavored soda.
    You can use tap water as a base for the soda, but you’ll need to buy syrups for flavored soda.
    Depending on the type of soda machine you own, you’ll also need to purchase carbon dioxide cartridges, tablets, or pods to inject the carbonation into the water.

    What happens with the CO2 canisters when empty? Are they recyclable? Do we return them somewhere to be refilled?

    This guy is insane. I love it. One of THE best reviews I've ever seen, I knew what I needed to know after a minute and a half, then he kept talking about tests that gave me bad, bad ideas for the future.

    Any suggestions for a source for cheap soda syrup other than manufacturers like coke-Pepsi etc? Dang one source works to $1.56 per 1l serving.

    I went to buy one of these, and they are discontinued 😢 Cost more, but heavier duty - would rather have had this than Sodastream.

    You won't be able to fill 60 of those with one canister. It's more like 20-30.

    • @behler100
      @behler100 4 роки тому

      My experience has been similar. I've had this SodaStream for about four years. Over time I got fewer and fewer bottles with one canister, down now to about 12. I may replace it with the low-cost one, though definitely prefer the solid feel and easy operation of this one.

    • @MatthewSmith-si8ks
      @MatthewSmith-si8ks 4 роки тому +3

      @@behler100 you should get an adapter for use with a larger generic tank. I use a 5 pound tank with mine and it lasts for a couple hundred fills, and only costs 20$ to refill.

      @@cuarajhyrojayju4397 you can get them on Amazon, but they're probably the same as the 15$ AliExpress ones. Just search sodasteam adapter. Make sure to get one for connecting the tank to the SodaStream and not for connecting the tank to the cylinder.

    Wish you would put a warning on this video. The soda stream company specifically states to not carbonate anything other then water. Your "blooper" shows how dangerous it is to not follow the directions.

    • @bestreviews
      @bestreviews  5 років тому +3

      Actually, the KitchenAid Soda stream is known for its ability to carbonate every liquid. Most other soda makers permit only water to be carbonated.

      BestReviews the manual for this product says to not carbonate anything other than plain water. And it’s written in all caps with a warning symbol next to it.
