Watched this before installing 3 - 72"Hx24"W hangups today in the 3rd garage, easy build after the 1st unit. Most time spent on prepping wall and drilling into the studs. After that it was easy sailing but it did take most of the afternoon. Thanks!!!!
Be careful 1:26 some garage floors pitch so water runs twords the door. If you have a pitched floor and measure they way they say your cabinets will be at an angle.
If I have a 30" wide cabinet, are the rails that come width the same width as the cabinet? Pictures of the product on the Prepac website show the rail sticking out several inches on either side.
From my experience yesterday, the rail stacked out. But if the studs were closer the rails could be positioned better so they don’t. A mean could be other ways but with my limited knowledge experience that’s how I see it.
I wanted to put an upper cabinet above a storage cabinet to use most of my wall space. I plan to install the large lower wall cabinet first then the upper, making them butt together How much clearance must there be from the top of the wall to install? If they have to be placed on the rail I assume there must be a gap to allow for installation.

I am also try to stack two 36" w x 24" H cabinets. I believe it will be better to hang lower one first. I have 72" tall on left and 2 of the 24" H on the right. Will align the top of left and right. But i want at what distance from the top rail which is at 79.5" , should be the lower cabinet's rail so that they are stacked without any gap?
I'm planning on mounting a 24"Hx30Wx16D for my laundry room. What measurement from the top of the wall /ceiling should I mount the rail? I intend to mount the cabinet up to the ceiling.
From the top of the cabinet to the top of the notch is 4 inches but you will need 5" of clearance for mounting because you have to lift cabinet above the rail and set it down in place. @@PrepacYT thank you for your reply. one more thing to ask for clarification, the area where these 2 cabinets are going into measures 72 inches wide. I realize that I will be leaving a gap in between the 2 cabinets. However regarding the mounting rails since they are 38 inches long, I would need to cut off one of them to accommodate both rails, would it be best to cut one of the two (about 4 inches) so that I will have a full 72 inches of rail on the wall? thanks again, My cabinets are coming tomorrow :-)

Yes, you will need to cut off the excess rail, but yes you will need the length of rail equal to the width of the cabinets. No, they are specifically designed to be wall mounted and not floor standing. We do have floor standing models in gray. Search for product code GES-3264.
What is the hacksaw for? Possibly cutting the rail?
