- Actress and author, Jamie Lee Curtis, took part in a special one of kind panel on November 17th, 2012, at a special HorrorHound Indianapolis convention. The convention featured Jamie Lee Saturday and Sunday, and Miss Curtis's met fans, signed autographs, posed for photos, and took questions during this special panel. All of the money raised for her appearance benefited The Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
The panel's conference room was packed with fans. Director, writer, and CEO of Convention All Stars, Sean Clark, who arranged Jamie's appearance was the moderator of the Q & A panel, took questions from the audience for Miss Curtis.
*Please excuse the few instances of the camera moving, as I did not have a tripod.There was not supposed to be any filming allowed at the panel, but when I arrived people were indeed allowed to film.

My favorite scene in the movie is where Laurie walks across the street. Its such a beautifully shot scene and the music. Oh. Should be taught at film class.
Thats why John Carpenter will be one of the greatest Filmmakers of all time. He was inspired by so many filmmakers when it comes to his film making and trying to incorporate so much from people who inspired him and now hes the guy people like Robert Rodriguez and much others inspire from. Carpenter will remain my favorite director of all time and pretty much my top favorite films of all time are by him Halloween, Escape from New York, The Thing, and Big Trouble are all in my top favorites of all time.
Gunnhild Edwards -- that now-famous scene (and, I agree, one of my top favorites in the movie, as well) was modeled after and a nod to the scene from Psycho, when one of the characters slowly approaches The Bates Motel up on the hill. The camera, like in Halloween, pans back-and-forth between the character and the house. Just like hiring Jamie Lee Curtis for the film was a nod to her Mom, Janet Leigh from Psycho.
The explanation about how her roles came to be in H20 and Resurrection around the 34:00 mark is story-telling perfection!
I wonder if it's all true though. I just feel resurrections explanation of how Michael survived is too contrived and watching it with h2o with that knowledge, it still looks like Michael was killed and they needed a way to bring him back
@@peterthompson1989 up until I heard her explanation, I naturally assumed that it actually was Michael in h20 as far as they were concerned, and only later when they decided to do another movie after all, they came up with the paramedic crap because I still don't understand for the life of me, if it was the plan all along, why did they do the ending scene of h20 this way where the man behind the mask not being Michael makes absolutely no sense
Fiiiiinally, a video of the panel where I can hear my 'We love you Jamie' at the end. It's stupid to want to have that on video, I know, but I do. I loved the panel. It was just too short, in my opinion.

Jamie is a WONDERFUL LADY!!! I admire the fact that she made an appearance at a Halloween Convention. The best thing about this is that the money went to the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles:) I know in this video that she made a decision NOT to do another one of these Conventions, but I hope she changes her mind because I would so love to meet Jamie Lee Curtis. I wish Donald Pleasance was still alive so that I can take a photo with the both of them. Halloween will forever be my favorite Horror Movie.

I love Jamie lee Curtis insight and humor, I felt bad thatvshecwas forced to resurrection to fulfill her contract obligation. I do agree with her that h20 was the true closure to Laurie's story since she overcame her fear which was Michael and defeated him once Snd for all.
She really knows her artistry regarding Halloween. I love her thoughts, philosophies, and unique perspectives for her character. She really believes in Laurie Strode, and in her world (and ours), Laurie is pretty much close to a real live human being.
I love how she said she’d never do another Halloween movie unless the check was fat and script was good and now we’re here. She got that fat check and we get a bomb ass movie coming 10/19 of this year, 40 years after the first. AND with John Carpenter producing like she’d wanted for H20? That’s so fucking bomb and I’m stoked.
Just because she doesn't like horror or doing conventions doesn't mean that she's not grateful to us fans who've followed her throughout her career!

It looked like Jamie Lee genuinely didn't appreciate the dismissive comment made by the guy sat next to her about not wanting to discuss working with Donald Pleasense. I know I didn't! Donald Pleasense, 5 October 1919 - 2 February 1995. Sorely missed but not Forgotten. RIP.
I echo Jamie's opinion of the Zombie remake and sequel. There was no need for them. I love her honesty on that one, as well as her telling it like it is on a variety of subjects in this video.
She told the making of H2O and resurrection so beautifully. If they ever make a Blu-ray collectors edition ever again they should totally take this footage and pay the guy who filmed it of course and use it in the making of documentary. Unless she’s willing to do an interview for it. I never want this to get deleted it such a fun watch. Thank you for filming this !!!!

I can't thank you enough for your footage here.I just picked up a copy of 35th Anniversary Halloween Blu-Ray and am extremely disappointed that they didn't include the entire panel in the documentary "The Night She Came Home". WTH??? So THANKS AGAIN!!!! :D

I have to give due respect for her having shown up when she didn't have a Halloween movie coming out, unlike, say Sean Cunningham who has always been upfront about his treating it all like a business, so it's not as if he were lying to anyone concerning having a great interest in meeting fans or anything, and so I am not in any way saying I disrespect him for that. It's just that in the case of this particular matter she gets a mark in the pro column whereas in this specific category those like Sean and even Sheri Moon Zombie do not.

My wife and I were in the audience -- but it's awesome to be able to watch some great video of this from the comfort of my own home without the multi-hour wait!!! (which, by the way, was totally understandable and totally worth it) Jamie Lee was amazing, Sean Clark was amazing, and the whole weekend was perfect. Thanks again for the upload!

You are very welcome. As Sean was one of the main reasons Jamie was there, he was obviously an important part of the panel and did a great job. Sorry about the 2 or 3 wobbles as I was holding my camcorder with my right arm and did not bring my tripod on the plane as I usually do.
It ended at H20 for me!

Jamie Lee Curtis is awesome in this video. Thanks for uploading. She's so down to earth like for example when she's talking about spending money in her head, buying a pair of shoes... SHE HAS $35 million. Also watching this video made me feel better as a fan of Halloween 'cos i have always been upset that Laurie died in Halloween Resurrection and i thought they killed her off so it's kinda eased the pain for me knowing that Jamie was the one who wanted to leave, it was her and not the writers.

I missed Laurie in Halloween resurrection, that was a huge issue for me her dying in the opening stunk, she should have survived and popped up at the end and finished off Michael once and for all

The Moustapha Akkad clause that Michael Myers can't be killed came after the disaster of Halloween 3, and he took the production reins over completely with Halloween 4.

Halloween II through Resurrection was a long big nightmare that Laurie was having after she passed out in the back of the ambulance on the way to the hospital. THAT'S how they're going to bridge the gap and make sense of the alternate universe so that this movie can continue forward.

I realize after reading it again that I posted as if its a matter of fact. It's not. That's just how I'd do it. It would allow the audience to still believe what they know about Halloween, while also allowing them to not disregard it completely which is what I've heard they are basically doing.

Very disappointing to now know that all during the shooting for the climax of H20, it was always intended that the guy in the mask who got his head chopped off was never actually going to be Michael Myers. I always wondered who the fool was who decided to change Michael into a paramedic "afterward" when they decided to make RESURRECTION - and I also always wondered why the hell Jamie Lee would agree to come back to have Laurie killed off in RESURRECTION after she worked so hard at bringing closure to her character. I can't believe I've just learned here that Jamie herself was the one who made both these decisions - and even before they filmed H20!?! Just unbelievable. I always figured she was contracted to return if there was a follow-up film, and that she had no choice but to accept the script that Laurie's character was now killed off.
