- Join me on my journey as I report into IBOLC and experience the first week of this wonderful training program. As a business owner in the National Guard, I'm required to finish the Infantry Basic Officer Leadership Course to begin my career as a Platoon Leader. I hope to take on a new challenge and push myself to the limit. This video takes you behind the scenes and gives you a glimpse into the process of entering IBOLC. From early morning physical training to tactical exercises, see how I'm navigating the challenges of IBOLC and staying focused on my goals.

going to IBOLC in a few months. Thank you for this
been looking for a video like this thank you
Glad I could help!
Dope video Brother! Need more uploads! I’m watching these while doing cardio🔥
Thank you brother really appreciate that. Let’s do cardio together
Thanks for the tour!!! How did you sneak the camera in there haha
Haha not a classified area! It’s a place for family to come for graduations as well 💪 Miss u
2 questions, did your unit cover the hotel cost or did you have to? Also what did you do about meals since your in a hotel?
Unit covers it and you are given BAH if you have a lease back at home. You get free access to the DFAC but we all just went to the px and ate Qdoba or Panda Express after 2 weeks
It’s just easier and quicker during TLP / garrison weeks. You’re in the field 102 days so you’ll have MRE’s for those days
Dang that's crazy. Meanwhille I'm working for a living.
things have changed since I went through IOBC in 1971 and stayed in OLson Hall which I assume has been torn down by now.
Hey Sir! I believe it is used for NCO Academy
About to commission soon. IBOLC NG just like you. Do I have to check in at the hotel every morning/night?
Nope. You check in on your first day and check out on your last day. Congrats!
Thanks brother
As a NG do you have to stay at the hotel or can you stay off post with a spouse?
They give you BAH (as long as you show a lease that started at least 3 months before your bolc date) and hotel so your room will just be empty’s
Does this include a lease that is not from Columbus?
@@ste5441 yeah so it’s BAH based on your home unit. So I had Boston BAH
Is it mandatory for NG soldiers to go straight to ranger school after completing IBOLC?
It is not. It’s recommended though because it’s hard to go again later. You’ll go to RTAC first. But as long as you pass your RPA at IBOLC, you’ll talk to your state and get extended orders for RTAC. If you pass RTAC, you go to the next Ranger class
@@AlexPhamUA-cam Gotcha, Im an active duty Marine right now and NG is one my options when I get out. I want to commission, go to IBOLC, and possibly go ranger or volunteer for SFAS. How was your IBOLC experience?
@@andrewdizon355 hey man! My closest friend there was prior marines. I had fun. You’re in the field 90% of the course but you have Friday and weekends off. A lot of sitting around and wondering what’s going on
@@AlexPhamUA-cam I gotcha, did you end up going to Ranger and airborne school?
@@andrewdizon355 I haven’t gone yet. I had a slot but I gave it up to return home. I had some personal stuff and had to take care of my business that was falling apart while I was at IBOLC. We should be on track to break $100k a month in a few months. Once I can stabilize the business more, I’d like to return. Since then, I’ve just been a PL
Any advise for OCS
Hey man! Not sure since I did ROTC. I’m sure there’s better resources online than me
Federal or state
Being National Guard do they still send you to airborne and ranger school?
Yeah just need to pass your RPA’s at IBOLC. Airborne is more dependent on your unit and state, but it’s easier to walk onto after Ranger
@@AlexPhamUA-cam does IBOLC prepare you for RFA/Ranger School?
Help!! TLPs 1 currently
Lol rough week! What are you struggling with?
