There was a time in 2007 where this song was all that I listened to, until even my parents knew all the words to this. Lost sight of it for a while, and now I feel like I'm reconnecting with an old friend. I knew all the words without thinking about them. Shout out to my teenage self for occasionally picking up musical jewels like this.

2007 was the last time I watched this on youtube and something just remind me of it... a song I used to love... and I forgot the title, I forgot the artist, I forgot the lyrics.. all I remember at first was the line "i'm not alright, im not alriiiiight..." Haha, this song get's me every time, I was only introduced to it a few years ago. A guitar was sitting in my ex-girlfriend's brothers room and I asked him could he play. I didn't expect much because the guitar was a piece of shit and he was pretty shy. He played this with such honesty and intent that he blew my fucking mind!
It paints a pretty depressing picture of the struggle within, but God damn that last line tells you where the fight's at.
"And the pull of what we can't give up takes hold"
Half the battle is knowing your weakness, the other half I guess is in acceptance or change, say no to self indulgence!
