知識としては知ってるけど実際に試したことがなかったので大変興味深かったです。
炭坑では防爆対策を施された電灯に取って代わられてしまいましたが、石油タンクの通気管の引火防止網として今も使われていますね。

危険物の資格勉強中に見て勉強になりました。
アセチレンランプより安全ということで鉱山で普及していったのも道理ですね。

面白いです。デービーさん、よく発明されたなと思います。
プリムス社のガスランタンのホヤに金網製のものがありました。そういう事だったのでしょうか？(調べると他のメーカーでも有り、ガラスと違い割れる心配がないというのが採用された主な理由らしいです。。ローソクと違いガスランタンを可燃ガス中に入れるのはとても危険ですね。☠️)

酸素と可燃性ガスの混合気（爆鳴気など）で充満したビーカーに入れた場合は結果が変わってきそうですね。

炭坑の坑内がそういう環境に近いので、炎は燃え続けるけど爆発はしなさそうですね。
