      It is a massive difference but not everyone wants a liter bike. Small bikes are so fun and flickable. You would never really have full use of the liter either unless you track a lot.

      lol, i've just flipped a GSX 1250 for a Versys 650. The big torqy, 260km/h fast bike is useless on pubblic roads. And i had the touring one. You could not use even half its power. Where's the fun in using only two gears and 1/4 of the throttle? In real life a road enduro bike is ideal. It's comfortable, with passenger or alone, easily carry cases, it can do a little off road, and when you want to go faster, you're actually using your engine, not sitting in the same gear all the time.

    Adults constantly raise the bar on smart children, precisely because they're able to handle it. The children get overwhelmed by the tasks in front of them and gradually lose the sort of openness and sense of accomplishment they innately have. When they're treated like that, children start to crawl inside a shell and keep everything inside. It takes a lot of time and effort to get them to open up again. Kids' hearts are malleable, but once they gel it's hard to get them back the way they were.

    • @IndyMotoRider
      @IndyMotoRider 5 років тому

      Depending on your own body weight and build, your lower back might get sore before your butt. Mabye 30 minutes, maybe 2 hours. When I was in college and in really great shape I could ride for 2 hours and my butt was just a little sore but fine within 15-20 minutes. The 650 is WAY more friendly on the body but WAY less powerful, hence the massive price difference between the two. If you want power plus comfort your only option is the Ninja 1000 unless you go with a "naked" bike.

    I’m in between either this bike the 2020 krt Editon or a 2018 GSXR 1000r I found one with 550 miles on it for around $13500 so if it’s still available when I have a lil bit more of a down payment I’ll go with the 1000r. But for around $8999 you can get a left over 2019 zx6r with abs right now I have seen 2020 with abs going for $10,000. That’s a really great deal for the money. Where else can you get a bike that’s that fast for under 10 grand brand new.

    7:24 Suzuki and Honda don't have 600cc versions of this bike, though. I mean, they still sell them outside of Europe (CBR600RR and GSX-R600), but they'll be discontinued very soon. They can't be sold in Europe because of the environmental regulations (for almost two years, now), and Suzuki and Honda won't be replacing them or improving them in any way. Once the stock is all sold it's the end.

    I can't begin to imagine how frustrating should it be driving this bike on american roads. Mostly straigt line, with ridiculous speed limits ....However it's fun here on alpine/apennine passes, my friend has one. As most modern sports bikes it's obviously mostly useless and uncomfortable on road where you barely use half its power. Most professional reviews of this bike are fortunately made on track.

    The ZX6R is a 636. 636 - 36 is 600. 636 + 14 = 650. 636 is closer to 650 than it is to 600, which technically makes this bike a 650.

    Yes I love my 1000cc superbike as much as the next guy but why on earth is the 600 supersport bikes not more popular, it boggles my mind. The free reving nature of these 600 engines is just addictive. And yes I very much agree that the 636 is the supersport middleweight to go for as it such a brilliant package. And again I really like your real world reviewing as this is where most ride anyway. And the heavy engine braking works really well on those long flowing twisty roads where you don't need to use the brakes.

    • @DukeOfDC
      @DukeOfDC  5 років тому +1

      I love the power delivery on these in a big way. I think the fact that you have to hang out at the top of the rev range makes a HUGE difference in how aggressively you ride.

    I had a question about the Break-in period, Manual states you should not go above 4000x Rpms for the first 600 miles. I noticed you were well above that on this test ride video with this bike having 1 mile at start of your ride. Will this damage the bike long term?

    • @DukeOfDC
      @DukeOfDC  4 роки тому +1

      There is a lot of conflicting information out there about break in period, the manual from the manufacturer is going to have a very conservative approach. As I waited for the bike to be very warm before riding, varies the RPM frequently; and spent minimal time about 6,000rpm, this won’t have any negative impact on the break in service
