Great warm-up Ash, I did a five minute brisk walk right before, and then did your warm up, went for a short mile run since I’m recovering from an injury and I was able to complete the run!
Hope you had a great run Jildou. If it felt tough that’s normal, sometimes feels harder after a few days off especially because of your period. The changes definitely affect energy levels.
Fantastic warm up, thanks Ash. Anything with rotations is so beneficial for me right now. What with trying to improve my swimming and kayaking I need to rotate my upper body. So good when one can use one exercise for a multitude of purposes. You always give clear instructions - so much appreciated.
Absolutely Be. Movement is essential to keep our body adaptable isn’t it. I always think of movement in terms of a vocabulary. The better the movement vocabulary the wider range of movements your body can perform. So glad this helped you practice your twists for swimming and kayaking too. 😊

Hi Ash! I'm a new runner (complete beginner), I've been running for a couple of months now. I really enjoy your standing stretches as I live in a houseshare and my room is tiny, so I don't really have the space to do the mat stretches, though I would love to. Keep up the good work with the videos! 👍🏾

I think they are intimidating since they look like everything else in youtube now a days haha.. However! Do you recommend different warm ups for different types of runs? I do my outdoor warmup videos in black thumbnail because of the black studio background but that’s great to know that they look like others and a bit intimidating. I will correct that for next ones and see if there is a difference. Regarding your question, I see my library of stretches like a menu. Some days you fancy one dish the other days you fancy something else. So it’s a case of trying and seeing what you feel like based on what you’ve done before 😊

I’m running a 5 K today, with a goal of 21 minutes, pace of 6:45 minutes per mile. 4:12 minutes per kilometer.
