Hi Caleb, I’ve been looking at these recently too at Sydney Tools and from all the research I’ve done on oil free compressors they certainly don’t seem to have the longevity of oiled compressors... Then I also noticed that Sydney Tools stocks and sells replacement compressors for all the Chicago Air Hush range, at a very high price too I might add... It just seems a little disconcerting that they are stocking and selling these replacement compressors as it appears they don’t have much of a lifespan. I note that they don’t seem to stock or sell any other brand compressor motors like Lincoln or Fendi which they also sell, perhaps because they don’t need to as the motors have a much longer lifespan?
Being a mechanic one let down on these air compressor's are the tiny tank to regulator tubing they areonly around 8mm inside diameter tubing The old steel air compressor's have inspection port's that can be tapped and you can run a 1/2 inch or 12mm outlet for huge breif output for angry tool's that require huge quick burst of air like rattle gun's for busting car driveshaft nut's, crankshaft bolt's etc... that mechanic's don't want to lug around a 100kg 100 litre air compressor for a quick job Please add the direct tank 1/2 inch hose outlet you'll greatly increase sale's
They're exclusive to us, I can email you a pdf of the manual if you give me your email or DM us through one of our socials like Instagram to share privately.
Yes there are a number of larger silenced units sydneytools.com.au/search?filters=%7B%22brand%22%3A%5B%22Chicago%22%5D%2C%22category%22%3A%5B%22Air%20Compressors%22%5D%7D&p=1&q=hush
The Duty Cycle depends on the set CFM/PSI output, the higher the the CFM/PSI output, the lower the duty cycle. The duty cycle for this air compressor will vary between 60%-75%
@@SydneyToolsTV Doesn't matter. I bought it today from your smithfield shop. But im missing the connecting hose for the 6m puma hose reel. I'll go back to the shop tommorow and tell them they forgot to give it to me. I wish the hush 70 and hush 100 were aluminium too. I would have bought either one. My hush 50 is so light. I love it. That's the main reason I bought it.
@@mehdi653 No issues with this Chicago compressor at all. It doesn't over heat, has no air leaks and no tripping of circuits or electrical issues of any type. Two years and still working strong 💪
@@jai7367 I have not used an air sander with this compressor. I mainly use the compressor for my air ratchet and to blow parts down. I have had absolutely NO issues with the Chicago compressor. It's a good unit.
I was lucky enough to purchase my Hush 50 from a mate who didn't have the room in his vehicle when he left town recently. Conversely, he actually bought it from Sydney Tools who freighted it to him in Cairns. The Machine was only used once before it was sold to me. I know this for a fact, because I was the one who used it, nailing some framework at said mate's property. The unit works great, I am totally happy with it performancewise. My issue is with the wheels- I am not sure if I have the assembly wrong or if I am missing certain components, because the wheels tend to come loose every time I've had to drag it from one spot to another, and doing them up tighter just makes them inoperable. Not sure what the fix is for this issue? Is it a design flaw? Apart from that, I am happy with it.
Just looking at the wheel assembly on a Hush50 on the shop floor and I think you must have it assembled wrong. Unfortunately, I can't post a picture here. Contact one of our stores and they will talk you through how to reassemble and organise replacement parts if needed.
Given the Ferrua is a 3 HP Compressor pumping out far more than the HUSH 50, I am pretty impressed with the 74.5db. Can either one be used for Spray painting?
Hi. Quick question. On your website the rated noise levels for the 50/70/100 were as follows; Hush 50: 69dB Hush 70: 81dB Hush 100: 70dB Can you offer insight on the reason the 70 is more than 10dB louder than the 100? Thanks
its quieter when you only turn on one of the 2 motors
HAHA true
so whats the db with both motors running on the hush50?
Was this testing one motor or both? Looked like only one by the fan spinning.

Funny, other posts have been answered :/
you only turned on 1 motor for the noise test, typical paid add

Hi, where can I find the user manual of these units? I can't find the manufacturer on the internet. Are these exclusively built for Sydney Tools?

Can you do the same test with the Hush 70 and Hush 100? I would love to see how they compare in terms of noise.
what size generator would I need to run this?
Pervert Percy 1.6kw converter generator is suffice
If this is zero maintenance, is the motor brushless? I’m going to order the big hush 150 with four motors
Yes it has a brushless motor
hi does it run the 150m sander with no cut out of air?
Is it ok to use this with suction feed spray guns ? 😕😨
Cfm rating?
Do you have any reps in Perth so I can listen in person before purchasing?
No we dont sorry
Do they come with a bigger tank?

Will it run a spray paint gun?
Depends on the gun, you may want to consider a larger hush100 for the higher output.
Where are these manufactured?
Chicago
Hi what is the duty cycle time/ how long can it stay constantly running for?
The Duty Cycle depends on the set CFM/PSI output, the higher the the CFM/PSI output, the lower the duty cycle.
The duty cycle for this air compressor will vary between 60%-75%
@@SydneyToolsTV I looked at this today in your smithfield shop. About duty cycle time, will it perform this by itself?
Please clarify. What are you asking for it to perform by itself?

Hi David, Both air compressors have similar FAD, and both air compressors with fulfil general workshop painting requirements.
The hush50 has gone up from $649 to $849 are there any promotions going?
Right now the Hush50 and the Hush100 come with a free retractable hose reel.

the 70 acctually has to larger motors
