    There's a mod on PC that gives you access to all components at all ship vendors. Might be worth checking out.

      I would, but the minute you make a guide like this using mods, everyone bitches because so many players don't mods. So I learned my lesson long ago: When I make videos like this, I don't use mods. That way everyone can duplicate the work.

    Great build. I like the nested weapons in the wings using the Nova weapon mount. I've always like that piece but didn't think to embed it like that. Very cool

    I think you got that daybreak design from me. NVM, I looked it up and that's not me. But damn close. That's almost my exact ship and I posted it on reddit about 3 weeks ago :) Mine came from scrap. It was the first Ecplitic ship I stole. Tore it down to nothing and came up with almost the same design. I have 10 ships now (including some BIG ones), and I still fly this one everywhere. It's easy to use and been thru many retro-fits but I finally hit level 45 and put the all the good stuff in her and got it the way I like it.

    • @ColorsFadeGaming
      @ColorsFadeGaming  11 місяців тому

      Yeah, I got it from r/Probalt on Reddit. Made sure to credit them. It doesn't surprise me if you came up with the same design. There's only so many cool ways to configure smaller ships, and this is an obvious design blueprint. Great, aesthetically pleasing ship design. And functional.

    Thanks for the StarField Build Videos ... I made a C-Class Starship based on your previous video ... I used only 5 Habs ... 3 (2x1) and 2 (3x1) ... "no (1x1) Habs" ... I tried my best to keep the Starship slim and high performance ... If you like it I can send you images of my Starship Build ... !!!

      Engines Set Mass Limit ... the 4x "White Dwarf 3015" have a Mass Limit of 1020 ... If we stay within this limit, It can do 100 Mobility and 180 Top Speed ...

    Great ship. Ive been rocking your earlier design. Cant find a design i like better (and ive tried).
    Do you think its possible to get the mobility to 100 with B class engines?

    • @ColorsFadeGaming
      @ColorsFadeGaming  11 місяців тому +2

      No. The mobility being low is really a function of the huge cargo containers. If you use smaller cargo containers, this thing can get into the 90s or even 100 if you use the smuggler containers. So if cargo isn't hugely important to you, then try some smaller containers.
      I won't put different engines on it because it changes the profile and the aesthetics are too important to me.

    So I keep feeling drawn to larger and larger ships. Building some form of battle cruiser is awesome, however, I continuously build a large ship, love it, and then fly around with it a bit and then drop down to a smaller, more efficient ship.
    It is weird to me to walk around this huge -empty- ship where all these habs don’t seem to actually do anything.
    This is something that will surely be fixed with updates, or more likely, mods. It would be wonderful to have science stations that actually increased what scans from orbit can do, manufacturing stations that produce ammo and ship parts, engineering that increase power or efficiency or battle stations that increase weapon power / slots / fire speed, etc. you would need appropriate crew to man those stations to make them function of course.
    In the meantime, I’ll stick to overpowered, but smaller ships.

    • @ColorsFadeGaming
      @ColorsFadeGaming  11 місяців тому +1

      The Battlestations effectively do that already. That's their function. If you invest in the Ship Command skill, you can hire more crew to occupy those spots, and those crew members will add their specializations to your ship's performance (like Vasco does, if assigned to the ship, by adding his shield ability).
      However, as you intimate, this is really a thin, half-baked implementation by Bethesda and I agree with your underlying point. They could have done so much more with these systems. They were probably hoping the modding community would flesh it all out, which I think is a lame way to design a video game.

    • @axelhopfinger533
      @axelhopfinger533 11 місяців тому +1

      Big ships with large, varied interiors for big crews is really more for roleplaying purposes. Except if you go for cargo hauling for trading purposes. But the ingame economy system isn't really fit for that and too basic, like every other part of the game atm.
      Biggest problem here is the size limit and parts limit, which is nowhere displayed in the UI.
      But for just getting around and playing the game, a more compact and focused ship is indeed better.

    • @ColorsFadeGaming
      @ColorsFadeGaming  11 місяців тому +1

      @@axelhopfinger533I think for the first half of the game, a small, powerful ship is ideal. The Daybreak that I posted is a great example. You can play 80% of the game with that ship. I think this changes a little later on though, and having a slightly bigger ship with C-Class parts and power helps with some of the missions.
      But I'm with you on all the rest. The UX is terrible, hides far too much critical information, and the game world is overly simplistic. It's a flawed game, no doubt. Very flawed. I wish it were better.

    • @axelhopfinger533
      @axelhopfinger533 11 місяців тому

      @@ColorsFadeGaming It will likely get better within the next few years thanks to DLCs and mods. All Bethesda games are always flawed, lackluster and janky at release.
      I couldn't and wouldn't ever play any Bethesda game not modded out to the gills anyway. Which is exactly why i probably won't take on Starfield for at least another year from now, to give it some time to mature and modders to do their thing.

      Around $260K? I didn't keep track to be honest. Mostly because the first time I built it, I used my Star Eagle, so a lot of the expensive parts were already on it.
