There is something I love about this scene that I haven't seen anybody else mention. We could obviously all tell Jack was horrible and evil, but he doesn't even say anything about Todd or even acknowledge him after he just heard him be strangled to death and can see his dead body laying on the ground. He knows that Todd and the rest of the white supremacists are dead, but shows no sadness or empathy towards them at all. Instead of angrily telling Walt and Jesse off for the death of his people and his nephew he tries to save himself. I mean we already knew he lacked any remorse or care for anyone except him and all, however, this still puts that into perspective.
I'm telling you man he's the polar opposite of hank, hank is on one side of the law and jack on the other, jack is dead serious and hank is a comic relief character. And my favorite difference. Hank knew he was going to dye and did not beg EVEN A BIT, meanwhile jack begged by literally offering walt his own money back (all he had)
GUYS THIS IS WHY WALT WON I think people misunderstood Walt's motives... BB is not a romantic comedy. He didn't care about getting the respect from his family... He did want to secure a future for his children and he did it and I think it's one of the bigger reasons why he won, but the character of Walter is far more complex than that. He didn't give a damn about having a "nice normal life" with his family. Walt is actually a broken man even since from the beginning of the show. He is an extremely intelligent man who contributed to a nobel prize winning discovery but was given minimal credit for it and ended up as a high school chemistry teacher living in a small house while having a controlling wife and a disabled son and his brother in law is making fun of him even though he should be living in an eneourmous villa having everyone's respect. When he finds out that he has cancer he isnt able to surpress his anger anymore he just lets it out, starting to cook meth while not even himself understanding his motives at the beginning, as we all know, he lied to Skylar and himself that he is doing it for the family. But all he wanted is to make society his bitch as a sorta payback for all the things he had to endure. He was the best at what he does, and people started finally realizing how intelligent he actually is, he was feared by many and in this scene he just tied up all the loose ends. And the most important thing was, he made himself a name in the criminal world and his name is gonna live forever, and that's Walt always wanted, people to recognize his name and it's what he got. So of course he fucking won.
Jt Anims Really love how you went all the way back to him not getting credit for the Nobel Piece Prize. That was one of the first major things to start his downfall that many viewers look over.
Walter always saves Jessie. There is a soft spot in his heart for him and it’s vice versa. There’s also a lot of heat in between each other. The story writing is amazing and very deep.
It was mostly for Andrea and the slavery Todd made him go through. Remember Jesse wanted to die the entire time he was there. I don't blame him one bit.
Walt is dead. Walt being alive would be the biggest let down. It would have made the whole show feel almost pointless. It showed the rise and fall of Walter and how many lives he ruined. He did everything he needed to do. Saved Jesse. Got the money to his family. Killed Jack and his crew. It was a perfect ending for Walt.
Weiner you do realize that would make the last episode pointless. Him saving Jesse. Saying goodbye to his daughter. Etc. he was lying on the ground, eyes wide open, with a bullet hole. Bleeding out. He’s dead. Not sure why so many people are in denial about it. His character arc is over.
@@Djungleskogg doesnt matter if it makes the other episodes pointless (which it doesnt) its reality and he ACTUALLY could have survived there is a lot of proof you just dont know about them. do your research dumbass
Weiner I’ve watched the show three times dumbass. Remember that little music video thing they did earlier in the series? The lyrics literally say “he’s already dead. He just doesn’t know it yet.” His character arc is over. He brought down an empire. Got the money to his family which he ruined. Saved Jesse. Killed jack avenging Hank. His arc is over. His work is done.
It's rather unfortunate. It has set my expectations high for other shows ending that decade. It unfortunately was an anomaly. Most showrunners didn't know how to end a show.
Bruh I'm just here to count the bodies frame by frame. Edit: 7 inside (excluding Walt and Jesse), 1 outside and the 9th is Walt. 6 die from the M60 (5 inside and 1 outside), Jesse kills Todd for the 7th kill and Walt shoots Jack for the 8th kill. 9 potentially being Walt. This is what we see but a 10th could be potentially dead in one of the back rooms with Walt surviving.

Cool, so killing atleast 50 people is okay? Maybe no one has told you but this show should have told you that all of it wasnt worth it for Walt. He destroyed so many people including his Family. His wife will be traumatized for ever he got his ‚Brother‘ killed and broke Jesse for ever. If he wanted to really make his Family „Rich“ he should have told them that you dont solve your Problems by killing other humans. His Family isnt even poor they have had enough Money for a car and a house. Chuck would’ve allowed Jimmy to work in HMM had Jimmy not been slippin Jimmy. Jimmy wouldn’t have been slippin Jimmy had he not been told by the conman in his dads shop about wolf and sheeps. In the end the whole reason this happened is because Jimmy McGill listened to the conman in his dad’s shop. What a butterfly effect.

Todd was a weird character. He actually seemed like he had decency in him yet on the flip side he was a complete cold blooded killer. For example he didn't want to kill Skyler despite Lydia telling him to because she "seemed a nice lady". He also did seem a bit awkward about killing Andrea and told her it wasn't personal when he didn't have to. Then there's the cleaning lady he killed... he actually said she was a nice lady and said a few words when he buried her. But he was cold blooded when it came to leaving no loose ends. Like with Brock... he said to Jesse he really didn't want to kill Brock, and I genuinely believe he didn't, but we know he would kill him in a heartbeat if necessary. Todd was the perfect soldier for a criminal organisation tbh. Didn't let his personal emotions get in the way of business
Hahaha Todd wasn't even phased lol, I bet if Jesse hadn't killed him he'd be back working for Walt... Just a good little soldier with no other ambition than working for the strongest king
Although all of the "bad guys" are taken care of, for me the most satisfying ends are those of Todd and Lydia. The others are just shot and literally do not "know what hit them" (except for the ringleader, and even he is given a merciful coup de grace), but Todd dies an agonizing death by strangulation at the very hands of the person he hurt most, and Lydia has enough time to know that she is doomed and cannot do a damn thing about it.
I think Lydia would've been able to get treatment in time considering she can tell the doctors exactly what is poisoning her. But obviously for storyline purposes she is meant to die.
If ricing poisoning is enough to make you sick, you are essentially dead already. How is it so effective? It interrupts the cellular replacement mechanism. Some cells need to be replaced every day, like those in you gut, lungs, blood and kidneys. Instead of cells being replaced, they just die and liquefy in place. This leads to leaking. The damage is to the DNA/RNA of those cells, so no turning back.
It just occurred to me that breaking bad shows how begging doesn't gets you anything. All characters were men of their own fate. Walt begged jack to spare hank, while Hank had made peace with it. Skyler begged Walter to leave. Jack begged for his life. No one got anything what they begged for but rather what they deserved. Even Walt begged to have died at the perfect moment but he never got it. He got the sweet release after working for it. Sorry if I don't seem to coherent with my thoughts
@@MadMax-ii8gq yeah that's true. I almost felt like his lifes goal had become to catch Heisenberg. He was obsessed towards that end. The moment he actually managed to nab him is the moment he died. At least he got what he wanted :(
Hell yeah. I feel bad for Lydia's kid, but she absolutely had what was coming. I never believed Breaking Bad would end so perfectly, tying up everything so satisfyingly, but here we are
Remember as a kid I would see it air on tv but it never attracted my attention and now I'm older after 3 years or so trying to find the time to go through it I finally did and damn was it an experience, like a black hole where you can no longer turn back.
I had cried harder than I ever have before, obviously because the ending was sad and it felt terrible to let the show go. But also because it felt like the only closure in my life that was solidly over.
If I had to provide an alternative summary for this series it would be how a high school chemistry teacher single handedly rid his country of the cartel and drug lords.

I think people misunderstood Walt's motives...

It was mostly for Andrea and the slavery Todd made him go through. Remember Jesse wanted to die the entire time he was there. I don't blame him one bit.
In the end the real crime was Todd’s ringtone for Lydia
Walt is dead. Walt being alive would be the biggest let down. It would have made the whole show feel almost pointless. It showed the rise and fall of Walter and how many lives he ruined. He did everything he needed to do. Saved Jesse. Got the money to his family. Killed Jack and his crew. It was a perfect ending for Walt.
You do realize he could have survived his wound if he went to a hospital fast enough

None of this would have happened if Tucos man hadn't said "Just remember who you working for."
Or Hank said: no Walt a dea raid would be too dangerous for you
or if the scammer twins didnt hit Abuelita's car
oh if the gun he tried to kill himself with in the first episode actually fired
Or if everyone respected and admire Walt none of this would have happened
Or if America had a functioning healthcare system
When I first started this show never in a million years would i have guessed this is how it ends
Well Vince Gilligan did say he wanted to turn Mr Chips into Scarface. Lol

Walt showed Jack the same level of decency and courtesy he showed Hank.
I love how that POS was begging for his life when it came down to it.
Hank took it like a man.
Walt killed that dude with the words still coming out of his mouth, exactly as he did with hanks, sublime payback
Game of thrones script writers should have watched this to see how a legend serie should be ended.
It's rather unfortunate. It has set my expectations high for other shows ending that decade. It unfortunately was an anomaly. Most showrunners didn't know how to end a show.
Walt shot Jack mid-sentence just like how Jack shot Hank mid-sentence. I always loved that little nod.
@Jebiscuit I doubt he will be but when the show ended nobody knew rather or not Walt was dead, not even the writers.

@@nushee_89 it was a flashback so Jesse could remember where the money was so he could afford to pay ed to disappear

Yeah no ricin isnt treatable. If you inhale enough of it, you die. If you ingest enough of it, you die
Only person who didn't get whats coming to them was skylar.
exactly!
Todd must of lost 20 pounds before Jesse killed him.
He started using the product.
Walt shot him mid sentence just like he did hank under the same pretense of where's the money. Incredible
