Love to see them thinking about one another, no matter what time they are in!

Although they were separated, they still thought about each other. It is a pity that this scene was cut.

I read a historian's criticism of the amount of sexual violence in the show. He said that in the 18th century, people in Europe and European immigrants to other countries (like the Americas) tended to be very religious. It was mostly taken for granted that breaking commandments would result in being punished by God, either in this world or the next. So although there were certainly criminals, cruelty, and so on, the kind of frequent -- almost casual -- violation we see in Outlander wasn't the norm, because religion was such a part of everyday life. I like the way this scene demonstrates that truth.

I'm sorry, but what do you mean by "casual violation?" Do you mean sexual violation, or other physical violation? Or something else?
      Thanx.

Ehhhh you mean like “religious” people who used to burn witches and priests who to this day rape children? Yea, thanks. Good talk 🤨🧐🙄

Religion doesn't equal kindness or nonviolence, and it certainly doesn't desist sexual violence. Remember, history - be it Christian which I suppose you mean by religion or actual History was mostly written by men. Is it likely that an oppressed prisoner with the beautiful David-like looks of Jamie Fraser would attract the wrong kind of attraction from a sadist jailor? Yes. Is it likely that a young single woman in a bar would be subjected to rape (even today)? Yes. Is it likely that a woman trying to grant freedom to oppressed women by telling them how to avoid pregnancies would be the victim of gang rape as means to shut her up? Yes. All of this happens to this day if you're in the wrong country or the wrong place. Is Outlander fiction? Yes, it is. But it's not completely unrealistic except for the time travel aspect.

I just went to a youth protection training that said that 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 6 boys are sexually assaulted before the age of 18. It was much worse back then.
