Morning Mike
Mornin Mr Todd
I want one someday
Hello Todd. Have you ever done any chainsaw milling before!
@ no I always take to the Amish , but their are times I want / need to
Excited to see what you do with this mill Mike!
I'm gonna go ahead and throw a teaser out. This thing is really fun to run
Awesome setup! I chainsaw milled long ago but never have seen a setup as complete as all of this Mike. Love orange Screnchs!
Mr Joe I'm very happy with this mill. They build products and make sure they are quality. The orange is my favorite also. Way easier to see when you drop it.
Thanks for being here buddy
I'm looking forward to seeing this in action, Mike. Watching you learn the process will be interesting.
Mr Kenny thank you for being here. More videos coming soon on this. Also it's alot of fun
Top notch build video once again!
Mr Joe thank you
Nice setup! Can't wait to see it in action!
Mr Ted thank you. More videos coming out soon
Granberg, no doubt 👍 Excellent product and an excellent assembly presentation Mike 👍👏 I look forward to seeing you operate it. 😎🇺🇸 Rick
Mr Rick thank you.
That's pretty cool
It is a fun system. Just a little slow vs a circular or bandsaw mill. But it's very capable
If you get into this a lot and want to upsize, I’ve found a lot of use for a 66” bar and a Holtz 880 clone.. I can cut things that nobody else in my area can which puts me in a unique niche.
Very cool!
Mr Brandon That's a huge bar. So far this thing is fun to run. I'm enjoying it.
Joe, Brandon has alot of awesome stuff going on up in Alaska. Trying to get him to film some of the stuff they do. Pretty awesome
@, you’ve about got me talked into it.. I have a little bit of time this time of year.. I have HOURS of homestead clips on my phone of different things that I could put together as compilations and publish with very little effort some folks may watch.. I chat regular with folks with bigger channels that might point folks my way too.. Not sure what may come of it other than me documenting things for my grandkids in the future, which that alone seems worth doing.
It is a big bar, but I do a lot of burl and crotch slabbing like Matt Cremona.. I can’t justify a band mill of his size, so I run the CSM which has its disadvantages, but for me is a much higher ROI..
Oh ya. That was a big part of why I make videos. I won't be around forever but the kids and one day grand kids can check out what I was doing.
This 36" mill will do 95% of what I have but I could see using a bigger mill occasionally for different things
Thanks Mike, I’d like to add a chainsaw mill one day too. Granberg was my guess. I love my Granberg sharpener too! Looking forward to the first run.
@hardworkingmanoutdoors hey Heath. So far everything i have seen from Granberg is top notch quality
Pretty cool Mike! Best, -- J. Andre. / Old Iron Acres
Mr J thank you
I had a very cheap setup that I actually found very frustrating. Nothing was done with quality in mine. There were nuts and bolts that were captured once assembled that you had to get to in order to make adjustments. Basically built like a first attempt home built cobbled together jig. Impressive quality for sure Mike!
Mr Joe that woukd he frustrating. As far as I can tell everything about their products is quality
