  • 2 cups grind dhal / split peas powder
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 cup evaporated milk
    1/2 cup water or more
    yellow food colouring or orange
    for the syrup-
    1 cup water
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 - 1 cup of condensed milk
    1 tbsp ginger
    1/2 tsp elychee / Cardamon powder
    1/4 tsp ground clove- optional

    Never used baking powder...but I use ginger coconut milk powder, milk powder, elichee and almonds. It is so flavorful and delicious. Thanks for sharing.

    I did this and the kurma and it was excellent Natasha. This is the first time ladoos were perfect . Only thing I suggest is adding the spices to the ground mix before the liquid as sometimes not all is used and that can affect the taste a bit. Keep up the good work.

    Baking powder have salt, u can’t offer that in prayers

    Hi...I have a question...if I make this the day before divali..can I leave it outside?
    Also...can I leave the barfi outside as well? Or do I need to put it In the fridge?
