- 2 cups grind dhal / split peas powder
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup water or more
yellow food colouring or orange
for the syrup-
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1/2 - 1 cup of condensed milk
1 tbsp ginger
1/2 tsp elychee / Cardamon powder
1/4 tsp ground clove- optional
Never used baking powder...but I use ginger coconut milk powder, milk powder, elichee and almonds. It is so flavorful and delicious. Thanks for sharing.

I made these for Diwali. So delicious and easy to make!
I did this and the kurma and it was excellent Natasha. This is the first time ladoos were perfect . Only thing I suggest is adding the spices to the ground mix before the liquid as sometimes not all is used and that can affect the taste a bit. Keep up the good work.

Omit it and use sugar to replace.

Do you ever leave the dhal batter to set or you fry it one time after making it?
Baking powder have salt, u can’t offer that in prayers

Was the oil not hot enough? If it wasn't that can cause it.
